Novo Nordisk presents diminished path wireway by way of direct client pharmacy

Novo Nordisis's Weil -Weighing Loss Medicine has a meteoric increase in popularity.

Novo Nordisk On Wednesday, it will offer its weight loss medication for less than half of its usual price per month via a new online pharmacy from Direct-to-Consumer.

The number of cash The offer is available to millions of patients without insurance coverage for the blockbuster injection. The aim is to make more people available and at the same time ensure that the patients use the brand medication instead of cheaper, compiled imitators that became more and more popular during a recently dissolved US deficiency in Novo Nordisk's medication.

The pharmacy called Novocare enables the patient to pay 499 US dollars in cash per month for the weekly medication. Wegovy's list price before insurance and other discounts is almost $ 1,350 per month.

The site can also send Wortovy recipes directly to the patients' houses via a special practice partner. Among other things, Novocare also offers refill memories and access to live support from a company manager of the company, including.

“Patients and prescribers have a different option that offers a convenient access to all cans of real, approved path approved by the FDA at a lower cost in our high-quality pen,” said Dave Moore, Executive Vice President of US operations and global business development.

In particular, the company said in the “near future” that the new savings offer for Wegven to use cash paid patients who use traditional retail pharmacies will expand so that they can also pay a cheaper price.

In January 2024, Eli Lilly launched her own online pharmacy from Direct-to Consumer, Lillydirect, to help patients access his weight loss drug Zepbound.

The website enables justified patients to receive a prescription through a telemedicine provider and can be delivered at home. Lillydirect has also offered Zepbound in single dose vials, which is half or even less than the usual monthly list price of $ 1,000.

In the past few months, the Food and Drug Administration has explained the US lack of Zepbound and the pathway about the US deficiency. This decision prevents certain connecting pharmacies from creating non -approved versions of the injections.

Novocare helps patients “to avoid the considerable risks that can be equipped by the compounding market, as warned by respected organizations, experts in the medical community and the FDA,” said Novo Nordisk in a statement.

Seventh carbon finances – last ideas – watts with that?

Not many people know that

By Paul Homewood

Just a few final observations for CO2 budget:

transport

The goals for EVS are no surprise because they match the ZEV mandate and the ban on ice vehicles in 2030.

However, they have effectively excluded HGVs operated by hydrogen and set a target of 63% electrical HGVs on the street by 2040, although the technology does not exist to edit them.

There is also the usual nonsense when switching to public transport and go with a switch of 7% to 2035.

Heat pumps

The CCC wants annual installations to be reached in 2030 and 2035 1.5 m. This will inevitably mean a ban on gas boilers by 2035, but also raises the question of how people are forced to buy them in the meantime.

agriculture

CB7 requires a massive reduction in emissions of 39% compared to 2022 in the agricultural sector, and this will mean a large reduction in the number of cattle and sheep as well as planting forests on a good agricultural country.

However, reducing meat and milk production in Great Britain will inevitably lead to a replacement by imports, with a much higher CO2 footprint. The CCC therefore demands import controls and tariffs to evaluate them from the market.

The end result will be much higher food prices.

With regard to the numbers, you want us to eat 25% less meat until 2040, with a similar reduction in animal herds. The impact on British agriculture will be catastrophic and we have to ask ourselves again how all this will be enforced.

aviation

The CCC turned away from previous attacks on flying, in my opinion deliberately. Otherwise, Miliband's position in the cabinet would have been unsustainable, given the plans for new runways in Heathrow and Gatwick. This really proves that the CCC is not the independent body for which it can be.

Instead of reducing demands to reduce flights and frequent flyers, they demand emission cuts of only 17%by 2040, whereby the focus is on sustainable aviation fuel. The costs of seven -time kerosine price are passed on to the passengers, from which they hope they hope to reduce demand.

Passengers also have to pay the full costs for “technical distances” – basically direct aerial absorption, the mammothly expensive and unproven process of taking carbon dioxide from the air and storage – in order to cover the remaining emissions.

Hope for alternative fuels and direct aerial absorption is of course based on the development of technology, but the CCC has this threatening warning of what will come when it does not happen:

Translation – borders for flights.

Holidays abroad will be checked by the government in a few years together with a large part of our life.

How the violation of Kyrie Irving turns the West Play-in race over

  • Kevin PeltonMarch 4, 2025, 3:22 p.m. and

A team of Dallas Mavericks, which has been hit seriously since a 19:10 start of injuries, suffered the greatest medical loss of the season on Tuesday, when the Shams of ESPN from Charania reported that the Star Guard Kyrie Irving was diagnosed with an ACL crack that was due to his injury against the Sacramento kings early Monday.

Without Luka Doncic, which was traded a little more than a month ago to Los Angeles Lakers or the all-star (Anthony Davis, an Adductor burden) acquired for him, the Mavericks were heavily dependent on the fact that Irving kept their offensive alive. In Dallas, the centers Daniel Gafford and Dereck LIVELY II are also missing and deal with a short -term injury to advance PJ Washington, which means that Irving and Klay Thompson were available to the only regular starter of the team on Monday.

The lack of Irving will pause in the 2025-26 season and a team, which hoped to win a championship with Davis after reaching the NBA final in 2024.

For a team that took part with title hopes this season, the Mavs' best way to reach the post-season is probably through the Play-in tournament of the Western Conference. But injury songs are susceptible to miss overall. The good news? The 10th place Mavericks have a 3.5 game pillow for the last game point ahead of teams that deal with their own problems. The Phoenix Suns navigate with Kevin Durant in the center of the trade discussion in a stormy season, while the San Antonio Spurs had their own setback with Victor Wembanyama for the rest of the campaign due to the deep venous thrombosis.

Let us immerse yourself in what comes next for the Mavericks and what you can expect from the West Play-in race-to a former Bottom Five team that has turned into one of the hottest in the league.

How good is Dallas without Kyrie?

In 10 games this season with neither Doncic nor Irving, the Mavericks went 3: 7 with a minus 8.5 point differential. This is inflated by a loss of 43 points against the league leading Cleveland Cavaliers immediately after the shocking Doncic trade, but Dallas was exceeded in nine other games without both guards with combined 42 points. The Mavericks predicted defensively when Irving was put in court from the square, but had difficulty scoring a goal. According to NBA Advanced Statistics, the offensive evaluation of Dallas drops by more than eight points per 100 possessions.

The Mavericks set up the idea of having either Doncic or Irving on the pitch at any time, which the team leaves on the roster with limited ball handling and games elsewhere. Spencer Dinwiddie is now playing a crucial role as Dallas' primary point guard, but he is not approximate the efficient scorer Doncic and Irving.

Now an ideal time for the security guard of the third year, Jaden Hardy, would be a bigger role. Hardy has an average of 19 points per 36 minutes and is Dallas' explosive athlete to the extent, but has fluctuated his season and left the game on Monday because of an ankle injury. This could lead to the Mavericks that Brandon Williams rely on two-way player Brandon Williams at short notice. Even worse, Dallas can only fill his open 15th place in the last week of the season, as the team at the NBA apron of the NBA, which is triggered by the processes outside the season, is too close.

The Hope of Hope for Mavericks fans is that Davis could soon return from the Adductor burden, which he suffered in his debut in Dallas and scored more points for the team. Davis is to re -evaluate his recovery later this week. After Davis fills the massive hole in the middle that generated both Gafford and Lively injuries through injuries, the Mavericks can hope to realign themselves in defense and play at least 500 balls on the track.

With a view to the future, Dallas' surplus of high -quality large men could lead to difficult options outside the season. The recovery of ACL tears usually required at least nine months for NBA players, and often more of a year, so that Irving cannot be returned realistically at the beginning of the 2025-26 season. In this sense and the team, which probably has no access to his exception in the middle level, to add free agents for more than the minimum content, the Mavericks may have to consider acting one of their centers for a ball handler to supplement Irving.

A game-in race will be two

The Matchup on Monday evening against the Kings was of crucial importance, since both Dallas and Sacramento are part of a five-team logjamy from sixth to 10th in the western ranking and only play one and a half games from top to bottom. Now this has changed essentially to a four-team race for the last guaranteed playoff spot and another competition for the last play-in position.

Let's start in this package at the top. The Golden State Warriors in the sixth and 8-1 with Jimmy Butler in the line-up are the clear favorite to avoid the game (49%of the simulations) with the Minnesota Timberwolves (33%) and La Clippers (23%). The Kings, which forecast almost two wins than any of these teams, seem to reach ninth place.

As a result, the race for 10th place remains to be observed as one. Historically, it was not a great reward to end the lowest seed in the game. Team No. 10 won two street games and reached the playoffs in four years of the current Play-in tournament format, and only two out of eight teams who took 10th place have avoided the elimination in their opening game. The Mavericks were already the most likely of the five teams who were 10th place in projections with the ESPN basketball -Power -Power Index (BPI) due to their other injuries. Without Irving you now end in less than 1% of the simulations among the top Six.

There are two more separation games in the forecasts between Sacramento and Dallas and creates a possible opening for a team to jump the Mavericks and to occupy the 10th place in the west. Fortunately, the two most likely competitors – the Suns and Spurs – seem to make this type of run for Dallas.

The Suns, three games over 0.500 in early February, have collapsed when the rumors over the Durant trade units increase before the deadline on February 6th. Phoenix has been 4-11 since the beginning of February and 2-8 in the last 10 games. The Suns still reach the game in 20% of the BPI simulations, but the projections cannot take into account the executable atmosphere of Phoenix.

In the meantime, Wembanyama's absence has slowed San Antonios Play. The Spurs are 2-5 because it fails during the all-star break, including two road losses compared to the injury-plagued New Orleans Pelicans. Due to the importance of Wembanyama, BPI San Antonio evaluates the weakest of the teams in the play-in-mix based on the current staff.

Can Portland run a run?

The blazers are the only team outside the West Play-in spots that are in a positive direction. After a start of 13-28, Portland went 15: 6 in the last 21 games to take part in the play-in race. The BPI projection evaluates the current version of the Blazer better than the Mavericks or the traces, the team, which only reaches 8% of the simulations, reaches the team.

For the first time since 2021, there are two obstacles for Portland that reach the post -season. First, the blazers have a lot of plots to compensate for the overall ranking. They are not only four games back from Dallas, but the Mavericks also hold the head-to-head tiebreaker by winning the season series 3-1. Portland would have to win five games more than Dallas from the last 20 to exceed the Mavericks.

Second, the blazers see themselves on the track in front of a more difficult schedule. Only Phoenix falls a more difficult schedule in the entire league than Portland Pro BPI, while the difficulty of the last route of Dallas is near the middle. The Blazer still have four remaining games against the three best teams in the league, including the trips this week to Boston and Oklahoma City to end a road trip that they started 4-1. If Portland can stay in the mix by the end of March, the Blazer April time plan will be easier in April.

Portland plays five under up to 500 teams to start the month before they are closed at home with the Warriors and the Lakers, which could be locked up in their playoff positions until last weekend. Even the possibility that the blazers will reach the off -season is remarkable because they seemed soless in the temporary season. Portland's development, catalyzed by the young strikers Deni Avdija and Toumani Camara and dramatic progress of Scoot Henderson in his second season is encouraging for the future.

Abbvie is the most recent potential pharmaceutical participant for weight reduction

A sign stands in front of a Abbvie facility in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

A version of this article was first published in CNBCS Healthy Return's newsletter, in which the latest health news leads directly to their inbox. Subscribe here to get future expenses.

The booming market for weight loss medicines has won a new potential competitor.

Abbvie Said on Monday that it would pay up to 2.2 billion US dollars for the development of experimental obstacle medication of the Danish drug makers Gubra and mark its late foray into the segment.

As part of the contract, the pharmaceutical Gubra will pay 350 million US dollars in advance. Abbvie will also pay up to almost 1.9 billion US dollars if the medication fulfills certain development and sales milestones.

Gubra, which offers pre-clinical contract research and peptide-based drug discovery services, can receive certain license fees for the global net conversion of the drug called GUB014295. Gubra's shares made 15% higher on Monday after the license agreement was announced.

Here is what is important to know about the drug: it is an injection that imylin imitates, another intestinal hormone than the existing obesity medication on the market goal.

Amylin activates signals for the brain that suppress the appetite and reduce food intake, says Abbvie. The hormone also slows down the so -called gastric emptying or the process through which the stomach contents are moved into the small intestine.

Novo Nordisk'S Blockbuster-Fettlebiglubkeitung Wegovy Ahmt a hormone called GLP-1 to tamp the appetite and regulate the blood sugar while Eli LillyYour own medicine is aimed at GLP-1 and another hormone called Gip.

Some companies, including Novo Nordisk, Zealand Pharma, Astrazeneca And Structure therapyDevelop products that aim at Amylin. Some of these drugs are still in development as Gubras Medicine such as Zealand's petrelintide, but it is still too early to know which is most effective for weight loss.

Some pharmaceutical manufacturers believe that alignment on Amylin could reduce gastrointestinal side effects that are typically observed with treatments that aim at GLP-1 and can lead to less muscle loss than existing medication. However, these effects must be demonstrated in clinical studies.

In a Research Note on Monday, the BMO analyst Evan Seigerman said “All-in, we are positive about the deal” for Abbvie. He said that the company's entry into the obesity market could come to other areas of his business such as inflammation and aesthetics.

For example, researchers examine the inflammatory advantages of obesity medications for diseases such as a serious form of liver diseases, cardiovascular results and Alzheimer's, including, Seigerman wrote.

“We see an opportunity for Abbvie to use their specialist knowledge in this area in order to better understand these potential advantages,” he added.

An obesity medication could also complement Abbvie's aesthetic business, which, according to Seigerman, offers Botox, other facial injections, skin care and body contouring.

In particular, the deal comes when Abbvie is looking for the Mega Blockbuster Autoimmune Medicine Humira after his next best -selling medication.

“Our partnership with Gubra marks our entry into the field, which offers a convincing opportunity that is based on the potential to question the patient needs and at the same time promotes the long -term growth of our company,” said Abbvie, Robert Michael, a little more than six months ago, in a statement on Monday.

However, the deal could be “potentially negative” for structure therapeutic agents, said Seogerman.

This biotech company is still looking for potential partnerships with large pharmaceutical companies to further develop and commercialize its experimental GLP-1 and amylin products.

Opera browser reveals an AI agent who takes on on-line duties for you

Opera has presented a new AI agent function that promises to do online tasks in your name, based on simple, written input requests.

Would you like to book a flight, but don't want to spend age groups to compare prices? Tell me that offered your preferred flight times, seats and budgets and it will make yourself a work in the background and let yourself go with what you did. As soon as it is finished, it adds the item to your shopping cart and you can continue with the payment.

In contrast to existing tools such as Google Ai Assistant or Chatgpt, which will help you find information by summarizing search results, answering questions and suggesting links, Opera's AI agent makes surfing for you.

Opera claims that the tool – called browser operator – signals a “new paradigm” in the history of surfing.

TNW conference groups get the best fun and the best offers

Bring your team with you and multiply your efficiency to cover more terrain and collect new leads.

“The browser has granted access to the Internet for more than 30 years, but it has never been able to do things for them. Now it can, ”said Krystian Kolondra, Executive Vice President of Opera. “This differs from everything we have seen or sent so far.”

However, the browser operator is not just for shopping. It can search the web for everything you need and you may save time for minor tasks. It is important that the tool is equipped with some integrated protective measures. You see what it takes every step in the process and can easily stop or cancel any task.

Opera claims that the AI agent is the first agent browser function that was started by every large browser. However, large AI companies are working on their versions of similar systems.

Last year Anthropic started a “Computer Use” function with which the Claude chatbot takes over her computer and browses her name. Openai presented a similar feature – “Operator” – in January.

However, both tools are virtual machines that work in the cloud. Simply put, that means they are slow. In contrast, the Opera tool works locally directly on its browser, which may make it much faster and safer.

In contrast to Claude or Operator, the opera's agent does not make screenshots or do not catch any videos on its screen. With the local processing of tasks, this ensures that user data remain on the device, which improves the company of privacy.

Opera plans to start the full version of the browser operator in “The Near Future”. The tool is the latest in a long series of AI developments by the Norwegian company. In 2023, Opera started a complete AI-capable browserand last year it became the First large browser for integrating large voice models (Llms).

Trump hits the guts of the local weather change agenda by attacking CO2 air pollution – watts which are with it?

From the daily skeptic

By Chris Morrison

Eight billion people who live on Earth breathe out two pounds of carbon dioxide every day, but Net Zero fanatic has long argued that this gas of all planetary life is a pollutant. Despite all the observable evidence that go back at least 600 million years, the activists link the increasing gas levels with the high temperatures that have gotten and puts together a politically inspired story that indicates that people control a chaotic and non -linear climate. Your computer models will tell you this, especially if you are provided with all correct data. An important cornerstone of all this nonsense is a “hazard” of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which in 2009 CO2 called “pollutant” of something that is referred to as clean air. The fear of pollution was influential worldwide and was used to justify countless regulations and prohibitions in the interest of the Net Zero fantasy. This is the Totemian nature of this statement, it may not be surprising that it did not take long for the Trump government to strike the new head of the EPA in the heart of the Green Blob, who reports to lift the white house to lift the decision.

As early as 2007, the EPA commissioned that greenhouse gases “endangered both public health and the public well -being of the current and future generations. It is said that the emissions of motor vehicles contributed to “air pollution” of greenhouse gas, which endangered according to the law on Clean Air. At the time, science was suspicious, it is now even more dodgy.

As was the case with medical matters about Covid, the daily skeptic with Net zero has always granted a sharp and investigative interest in the underlying science that supports an important political approach. It is obvious that every acceptance that the CO2 caused by humans would not control the climate thermostat, lead to the entire net zero building, which is particularly valued by control freaks on the left and falls like a house of cards. As with Covid, the need to keep the population on the way with fear that all efforts are made in the mainstream to close the debate.

Carbon dioxide is a so -called greenhouse gas with warming properties in the atmosphere. However, it has long been known that these properties lose weight with higher atmospheric volumes, an observation that explains why global temperatures that have been out of control were not recorded in the past than the mirrors were more than ten times higher. Plants have developed to thrive three times higher in CO2 quantities than the current dark values. There is still widespread speculation about the speed of the global temperature increase, which occurs when CO2 is doubled in the atmosphere, whereby the estimates from a “saturated” low from about 0.5 ° C to the alarming claims of 10 ° C or more. Many computer models are deliberately fed with 'paths', which take up very high future temperature increases.

Because nobody knows what the right number is, although a large part of the evidence of lower, self -negligible amounts indicates, it is reasonable to say that the hypothesis (opinion) that people control the significant climate change by releasing CO2 without a single scientific paper not proven to validate the claim. For this reason, political activists invented the lie that there is an overwhelming consensus on anthropogenic warming and that science is hereby “settled”. It was not only regarded as enclosed, but another discussion risked the comparison with the refusal of the Jewish Holocaust in Nazi Germany. Every now and then an idiot can be instructed to suggest that the denies should be sent to prison. As a result, the activists, supported by mainstream media, could promote the fantastic idea that the world can do without without hydrocarbons and instead on the breeze and sun rays that are supported by controls and lifestyles that are more suitable for pre-industrial, less civil age.

This is the essential stupidity behind Net Zero, which, in connection with a growing realization that a large part of the “defined” science is based on models and junk data, is not surprising that it dissolves in the United States and elsewhere so quickly. In contrast to Trump 1.0, the recent incarnation of the Donalds was long in planning. The entire Woke agenda including Net Zero was hard and with devastating precision. The knowledge of the EPA risk is the “Holy Grail” of the climate agenda, noted Marc Morano from Climate Depot. “If you permanently crippled the United States's climate agenda, you have to focus on,” he wrote. “That is the heart of it.”

There is another way to remove the knowledge of the CO2 risk because it is integrated into the Clean Air Act. Changes to the law are required in addition to executive measures to protect against the inevitable complaints, which are financed by the almost unlimited amounts of money of the still powerful green blob. However, hearings in a republican congress were able to help clarify the air and to define the actual “danger” that people caused by humans. The suggestion that CO2 is a risk is omnipresent in the original EPA finding, but much more scientific information is now available via the “risk” issued by the gas. It becomes more difficult to argue that CO2 is a clear and current danger if a little additional warmth has saved life and increased food supply, while the gas has increased global leaf growth by up to 15% in recent years. Activists will undoubtedly claim that there are now more extreme weather such as hurricanes, floods, droughts and forest fires, an argument that could be hindered by an almost complete lack of evidence to underpin their disabilities.
