Omada Health Smart Devices in action.

Kind approval: Omada Health

The virtual company Omada Health applied for a IPO on Friday that the youngest company for digital healthcare, which signaled its intention to reach public markets despite a turbulent economy.

Omada was founded in 2012 and offers virtual care programs to support patients with chronic illnesses such as prediabetes, diabetes and high blood pressure. The company describes its approach as a “supply model between visit”, which, according to its prospectus, is supplemented with the broader health ecosystem.

In the first quarter, sales rose by 57% to $ 55 million, compared to USD 35.1 million in the same period last year, the submission said. The company based in San Francisco generated sales of $ 169.8 million in 2024 and increased by 38% compared to $ 122.8 million in the previous year.

The net loss of Omada decreased in the first quarter to 9.4 million US dollars compared to $ 19 million in the same period of the previous year. It reported a net loss of $ 47.1 million in 2024 compared to a net loss of $ 67.5 million in 2023.

The IPO market has largely been beaten in the entire technology sector in the past three years, and it was almost completely dead within digital health. After President Donald Trump announced a comprehensive tariff policy that the US markets used in turbulence last month, it is an even riskier undertaking to open a company. The online loan Klarna delayed his long-awaited IPO, as well as Stubhub.

However, Omada Health is not the first digital health society to be submitted for your public market debut this year. The startup health health for virtual physiotherapy submitted its prospectus in March and provided an update with the income of the first quarter on Monday.

Omada contracts with employers, and the company said it worked with more than 2,000 customers and supports 679,000 members as of March 31. More than 156 million Americans suffer from at least one chronic illness, so there is a significant market opportunity, according to the company's submission.

In 2022, Omada announced a round of finance of $ 192 million, which increased its evaluation of over $ 1 billion. Us Venture Partners, Andreessen Horowitz and Fidelitys FMR LLC are the largest external shareholders of the company, each of which has between 9% and 10% of shares.

“To our potential shareholders, thank you for learning more about Omada. I invite you in our trip,” said the co -founder and CEO of Omada, Sean Duffy. “In front of us is a unique opportunity to build a promising and successful business and at the same time really change life.”

Denmark to barter autonomous sea drones in the course of tensions with Russia

The Danish armed forces are brought to trial four autonomous sea drones before court hearing that patrol Northern European waters and look for signs of criminal activities.

Driven by wind and solar, the Endaredial surface vehicles (USVs) will be Collect real -time data with sensors and cameras that are positioned both above and under the water. An onboard computer will stream this data on an algorithm for machine learning that is trained to recognize patterns and potential threats.

The technology is intended to help the Danish defense forces to identify threats such as enemy u -boats, illegal fish, drug smuggling or manipulations against underwater cables. The drones will also perform deep-sea maps in order to offer the authorities a clearer perspective of the sea floor and underwater infrastructure such as communication cables, pipelines and offshore energy platforms.

The monitoring of this kind has become increasingly urgent since the North Stream Pipeline -Sabotage 2022, which testified to the susceptibility of underwater assets for hidden attacks. Denmark also rises in the Baltic Sea in the middle of the maritime defense in the Baltic Sea growing concerns About Russian aggression.

The robot sailing boats are manufactured and operated by saildrone, a technology company based in the USA in 2012 by Richard Jenkins Richard Jenkins. In his early days, Saildrone mainly focused on climate and weather surveys. But now the vast majority of their 140-strong fleet is being used for defense and security purposes.

Cubs, White Sox have fun the selection of Pope Leo XIV born in Chicago.

The story was written in the city of Vatican on Thursday when Pope Leo XIV was presented as the first American to be elected Pope.

Selection of the publisher

Leo XIV (birth name Robert Francis Prevost) was born in Southern Chicagoland and grew up, where he served as an altar boy in the St. Mary of the Assumption community. Now that he rises to the papacy, an unlikely staple of the second city is celebrating the moment: the Chicago Cubs.

Congratulations to Pope Leo XIV! pic.twitter.com/s02YDDEGQD

– Chicago Cubs (@cubs) May 8, 2025

After his election, ABC reported that Leo XIV was a fan of the Cubs.

But John Prevost – Leo XIV's brother – had a different view. After the election of Leo XIV, Prevost spoke to WGN News in Chicago and blamed the idea that the Pope was a Cubs fan.

“He was never a Cubs fan,” said Prevost. “So I don't know where it comes from. He was always one [Chicago White] Sox fan. “

Later on Thursday, Chicagos ABC7 partner also reported on Leo XIVS White Sox -Fandom. The White Sox themselves have campaigned for the campaign and published their own video board celebration and a clip from Prevost's interview with WGN.

Well, you would look at the … Congratulations to Chicago's own Pope Leo XIV pic.twitter.com/u5dj7Toydr

Prevost's theory for possible confusion? Her mother, whose family came from the north side of the city, was a Cubs fan.

The only team that can conclusively claim to keep the rights to the fandom of the new Pope until further clarification are the Villanova Wildcats. Leo XIV completed the university as part of the 1977 class.

“With the roommate” Show “, a podcast that was held by Wildcats-New York Knicks teammate Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, joked that they would have their colleagues Villanova Alumnus on the show in the near future.

What number of villain planets are on Milky Means? The Roman house telescope will give us a solution

In the past ten years, astronomers have speculated about the properties of rogue planets in the Milky Way. These “freely flowing” worlds do not turn stars, but roam the space railways. They are difficult to recognize with the current technology, but the upcoming Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope (Roman) will be a perfect instrument to find them and give them insight into the history and characteristics that they may have together with solar system worlds.

A recently concentrated work on interstellar planetary hikers and examines how the Roman telescope is the scientific understanding of education in which they exist and what types of planets they are. In particular, the paper examines the so -called “freely flowing mass function” to understand the origins of rogue planets. The planetary mass function describes the distribution of the planetary masses by stars. The freely flowing planet mass function fulfills the same for rogue planets that hike the galaxy.

The authors suggest that Roman could significantly improve the existing measurements of the frequency of these planets, which are smaller than the earth. It could also help to characterize the number of villain planets with a higher mass and their distribution throughout space. Finally, his data could improve the understanding of the astronomers for the processes that create and then eject these worlds from their birthplaces.

This illustration shows a villain planet that travels through the room. Credit: NASA/JPL-CALTECH/R. Injured (CalTech-IPAC)

What are villain planets?

The term “villain planet” conjures up visions of places such as Hoth, Alderaan and Endor (from the Star Wars universe). These places orbit stars, while freely floating planets no longer do this. A newly forming planetary system is a place. Bits and pieces of worlds (essentially protoplanets) change and experience gravitational effects from others. Finally, they combine to plan together. The dynamics of education are energetic enough that some newly shaped planets are expelled into space in order to never return to their higher -level systems.

Astronomers estimate that the Milky Way could contain millions or billions of villains. If that is true, there could be a lot more villain worlds than worlds that are bound to their parent stars. The villains are not heated by nearby stars, so astronomers suspect that most (if not all of them) are frozen, icy, empty and uninhabitable.

Rogue planets are not very easy to recognize because they basically travel “in the dark”. At the moment it is one of the best ways to recognize them through microlensing. This happens when the planet here on Earth in front of a star from our point of view. The villain's gravity “bends” the light of the background star. In our view of the star, this creates a little “wobbling” and tells us that something has only gone through the field of vision.

How can Roman help to find freely floating planets?

The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will improve the discovery of rogue planets by instruments such as the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) that has discovered other villain planets. The Roman telescope will carry out a search called Galactic Bulge Time Domain Survey, with which astronomers can recognize several hundred to several thousand freely difficult “villain” planets. This should give the researchers a good population to understand their masses and distributions throughout the galaxy. This should in turn offer a better understanding of how and where villain planets are born. Essentially, Roman's data will fill out the “Demography” of these worlds.

The impression of this artist shows what the milky galaxy from almost edge-on and from a completely different perspective would look than we get from the earth. The central debut is shown as a peanut-light star globe and the spiral arms and its associated dust clouds form a narrow band. The Roman space telescope will concentrate on an overview of the bortage to look for rogue planets. With the kind permission of ESO/NASA/JPL-CALTECH/MKORNMESTER/R. Injured.

Although all villains are difficult to recognize, the population of planets with a low mass would be particularly difficult to find. These are worlds smaller and less solid than the earth. They are likely to form in protoplanetic windows like their larger siblings, but they are small enough that it would not need a big kick to throw them out into space. Larger and more massive worlds would be less likely to be switched off at the beginning of the process. The existence of villains “Big Brothers and Sisters” says something about the processes that are necessary to throw them out into space because they “push” more massive and theoretically energetic space.

Roman's search for exoplanets uses both the transit method and the microlins. The transit method is an unusual way to describe what we see when one object fits in front of another in the room. What we see is a “dimming” of the light from the background object. The length of the dimming and the depth of it (i.e. how much light blocks) provides information on the nature of the foreground object. The microl insulation also includes a “solar eclipse” of an object through another, but astronomers then recognize the gravity distortion of the light from the background object.

Roman is almost complete, but will be started for a few more years. Nevertheless, astronomers already predict that their observations of rogue planets and other non -glowing bodies (original black holes, someone?) Will revolutionize our understanding of the objects that colonize our galaxy.

Mitsubishi again within the EV sport – with a brand new electrical SUV in 2026

Mitsubishi officially jumps back into the US electric vehicle scene – and this time it doesn't just dive a toe. The company confirmed that in North America in the summer of 2026 it will be launching a brand new battery-electric SUV, which has marked its first full electrical model since the quirky Little I-Miev in 2017.

The new EV will be a compact crossover, and while Mitsubishi keeps the most juicy details under closure, we know that it is based on the next generation of the next generation as the upcoming Nissan Leaf. This means that it will ride the same on the CMF-EV architecture, which supports the Nissan Ariya, supports the range of up to 300 miles. So yes, this is not an average EV entry-up.

The new model is built in collaboration with Nissan in Japan and sent to the US coast. No word about pricing, battery sizes or even a name, but Mitsubishi has made it clear that this EV is only the beginning. As part of its “Impulse 2030” plan, the company promises a new or updated vehicle every year by the end of the decade, with four electrical models getting out by 2028. And yes, one of them could even be a pick -up.

Mitsubishi says that the goal is to give customers “flexible drive strand options” what marketing for: “We will have something for everyone.” Regardless of whether you are involved with electrics or still in gas or hybrid current, you want to cover them.

In addition to Mitsubishi's current American constellation of the Outlander, Outlander Phev, Eclipse Cross and Outlander sports and the brand, this Mystery EV will finally help to go beyond their current status under the radar in the electrical world.

In short: Mitsubishi is finally getting serious with EVS, and if this new SUV spends its potential, he could possibly bring the brand back to its radar.

Flawed, Phys.org, local weather change doesn’t trigger the misplaced faculty days – watts towards it?

In a recently published editorial, the researchers claim that climate change is driving more powerful and more common hurricanes, which in turn causes a widespread school closure, which it describes as a “overlooked consequence” of our supposedly deteriorating climate. This story is wrong. The available data show no trend to increase the hurricane frequency or intensity due to the climate change induced by humans. If the storms do not deteriorate themselves, the claim that they cause more missed school days due to climate change under its own weight.

The central claim that hurricanes become more destructive and more common due to climate change is refuted by long -term observation data and the official position of the most important scientific institutions.

According to the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), there is no strong indication of an increase in the number or intensity of hurricanes worldwide due to the climate change caused by humans. In fact, Noaa writes:

“It is premature to conclude that the increasing atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations had a demonstrable influence on the hurricane activity of the Atlantic basin.”

Although NOAA ascribes a “possible” increase in the storm intensity in some pelvis, it is consistent that natural variability plays a dominant role in hurricane behavior, especially in the Atlantic, where multidecadal oscillations – like the Atlantic Multidal -Oscillation (AMO) – are primary drivers of activity of activities.

In addition, the historic Hurricane Tracks database from NOAA shows that the frequency of the US hurricanes has not increased in the last century. What is more meaningful is that the landing of the great hurricane (category 3 and higher) has remained steady or even slightly decreased if they have been viewed in long -term recordings. (See illustration below)

Figure 1. This figure shows that the global activity of the hurricane and the tropical cyclone does not increase. Even with the slight increase in the number of tropical storms in 2021, it is still below the peak recorded in 1971. Source: Ryan N. Maue, “Global Tropical Cyclone Activity”, Climate Atlas, accessed May 4, 2025.

In fact, the climate was at a glance: 2005 to 2016 Hurricanes marked the longest route in US history without a great hurricane who landed, a record-breaking 11-year break. When climate change refueling more serious hurricanes into the United States, where did you hide over a decade?

Even the often quoted intergovernmental body for climate change (IPCC) is correct. Your AR6 working group I reports that there are “Low trust” in long -term (hundred years) increase in the frequency or intensity of hurricanes. This is not a skeptical website that speaks – it is the IPCC itself that admits that the data does not justify alarmism.

The authors of the Phys.org piece make the speculative jump of “climate-related hurricanes” “missed school days”. But their logic runs from the rails here. There is no credible evidence that combine climate change with educational disorders. Even if stormy school closings increase in some areas, the cause is due to changes in the administrative guideline, liability concerns and improved emergency protocols than to more intensive weather.

Schools today have better warning systems for bad weather and can be closed faster as a precaution than 20 or 30 years ago. In the past decades, a hurricane of Category 1, which is approaching the coast, might lead to weather warning. Today it often leads to several days of switching, even in regions that escape the main load of the storm. This change reflects institutional behavior – no climatological changes.

Hurricanes have always bothered the coastal life, but since it has not increased hurricane or intensity in the recent times of the slight warming, it is impossible to attribute hurrican to increase school closures.

This article is a textbook example for poor research as an urgent political insight. By stretching an already weak climate claim about the deteriorating cyclone-in an even more difficult social consequence-related school days obliged to draw with the cardinal sin of science: influencing conclusions from dark, cherry-sophisticated evidence. There is no measurable increase in hurricane strength or frequency. Therefore, there is no crisis of climate change that the school disorder has driven. The authors of this editorial should receive an “f” in climate competence – to pass the scientific odor test. Readers earn better than this type of non -supported alarmism.

Stephen Curry had I have just opened Draymond Green for a 3 pointer on the wing, which gave the Golden State Warriors a lead of 30 to 20 in the second quarter of game 1 on Tuesday evening and forced the Minnesota Timberwolves to call for a break.

Before Green went back to the Huwdle, he turned around Curry on the other side of the courtyard and found himself to move. Green hadn't seen Curry how Curry previously burdened his upper limit on a Drive moments and went after his long -time teammate.

“I'll be back,” said Curry to green when the point guard carefully went to the tunnel in the changing room.

Curry never returned.

When the franchise superstar iced his knee tendon in the changing room of the visitors, Green got a rebound for the following property and immediately pushed the ball up the floor. Seconds later, he drilled another 3 from the tip of the key.

The signature “Boooooooom!” It was heard that he or his teammates often scream for a green 3 pointer when the target center was silenced. Less than a minute later, Green buried his fourth 3 pointer to push the warriors over the wolves with 14 points, which are still seven minutes ago in the second quarter. Despite Curry's absence, the leadership of the Warriors grew up to 23 points in third place, which led to a 99:88 victory to give Golden State the early advantage in the series.

At a moment when the warriors could have been paralyzed without their superstar shooter, Green pumped life into the team. In addition to anchoring a defense that forced Anthony Edwards to give his first 10 shots, and Minnesota on 88 points-the second time this season, that Minnesota scored 90 points, Green Jimmy helped orchestrating the offensive with 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists to capture the game.

Green has newly calibrated since he lost his serenity and felt “laying” through his Rocky Game 6 performance against the Houston Rockets, and is a main reason why Golden State won twice in a row. He must continue to play at a high level, with Curry with a left -wing class 1 on Thursday (8:30 p.m. ET on TNT) with at least game 4.

It was five nights ago, where the Warriors were equipped in game 7 in game 7 the next day in game 7, and the players of the Golden State gathered for a meeting in their suburb in Houston Hotel. Green said ESPN that the idea of holding the most important meeting of the season was decided by Curry, Butler and himself. Green pushed his teammates out of how he has learned in recent years with the help of therapy and advice. He swore that he would lead the Warriors with more balance and promised to set the right tone in game 7.

That wore in game 1 in Minneapolis.

“He is our leader,” said Warriors coach Steve Kerr. “And if he is right as he was [in Game 7]He is an incredible player to see. The defense that the court has on this side of things and is then only patient and does not turn it over and is aggressively in the right places. I think we were scattered by the boys who understood after game 6, we were no longer. “

Draymond Green finished game 1 with 18 points, including four 3 points, together with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images

Only 24 hours Before the sixth game 7 of his career, Green had to appear recently. In game 6 he ended with eight points, seven templates, five rebounds, three blocks, but four sales and the wrong disposition, which an open foul 1 committed a little more than three minutes in this loss of 115-107.

Before it blocked the weapons in game 7 with Steven Adams and Alperen Sengun, Green agreed in some slow jams and mixed up to some R&B-Wie Jodeci and H-Town from the 1990s to fit some current R&B like Sza and Brent Faiyaz.

He also had heart-to-heart with the people whom he trusted most in his inner circle: his wife Hazel Renee, his state coach of Michigan, Tom Izzo, his best friend and former Spartan teammate Travis Walton and even his hairdresser.

Izzo checked his former player with a lot of hard love, Green said to Espn.

“I spent that [those] Two days embarrassingly exactly what I gave [in Game 6]What I gave the world, “said Green.

Green went to a spa and meditated. He was based on methods that he calmed down after hours of therapy, consulting and check-in zoom calls with NBA executives after he had put his indefinite suspension because he had put Rudy Gobert in a choke gold and Jusuf Nurkic before one season.

When Kerr finally joined the meeting on Saturday, he initially tried to tell the team the key to game 7, including how he needed Green to do better.

Green said Kerr said nothing that he had just not expressed his teammate before.

“It was as if we were an old couple who repeated the same things,” said Green to Espn with a laugh.

It is a union that produced four championships. Kerr repeatedly said that Green is one of the greatest competitors he has ever been and “the best defender I have ever seen in my life”.

In the morning of game 7 in Team Shootaround, Kerr had a long discussion with Green at his side. Kerr was to point to the Court several times, and Green listened carefully and repeatedly nodded approvingly.

Green called the lecture “one of the better conversations we have ever held”. Kerr told him stories and reminded Green what he achieved in his career. He pointed out that “nobody remembers” of the end result of game 7 compared to Green's Résumé, and that he should have fun with attitude while he gives the rest of the Warriors something that he could follow.

During this meeting, Curry spoke to the team about the control of what it can control, which is not shown in the box score.

What he saw in game 7 of Green was exactly how the emotional warrior can fight what is expected to be another physical and grinding series that tests his serenity.

“No better lesson than [Game 7]”Curry said on Sunday.” Make it a basketball. He doesn't have to be silent and do not speak and be demonstrative. We wanted this kind of [intense and fiery] Draymond, but save the energy for us, our Huddles. Even if he had this type of confusion [Fred] Vanvleet, he did not react, i.e. with the referees and attempts to advocate his case. It didn't go on his way.

“He kept it about basketball.”

Draymond sneaks go to Butler for a warrior who is immersed

Draymond Green shares two defenders with a Bounce pass to Jimmy Butler for a warrior.

Green knows everything Eyes will be aimed at him to see how he deals with Gobert physically and mentally. He had his biggest offensive highlight of the season when he dripped half the legs in isolation at the top of the key from half a farm, before he blew at a 114-106 win with a Dark with one hand with one hand with 28 seconds with a 114-106 win on December 8th.

Green kept his cooling against Gobert most of the regular season, but he will draw automatic one-game suspension with two other open foul points or three other technical data. Green repeated a famous point of comedian Charlie Murphy in “Chappelle's Show” to describe his preference for the envelope.

“I always went in this line,” said Green after victory 4 against Houston. “I am a habit.”

When Green received a technical edition after swallowing and contact with Vanvleet's face in game 7, he was frustrated by the Warriors bank, but Butler, co -trainer Terry Stotts and Jerry Stackhouse calmed him. Curry had a longer handshake with green as if it were okay for his emotional teammate.

2025 NBA playoffs

From the play-in tournament to the NBA final, ESPN treated it throughout the entire post-season.

Game-by-game analysis: Insider on conf. Semis

Paine: What a title for every playoff team would say

In the hostile area in which the fans “f — you, draymond!” Sang, sang “f-you, draymond!” In the Toyota Center, Greens returned with 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and two blocks the basis of a defense that Houston held to 89 points. And he kept the theaters on a minimum.

It is what Kerr from Green needed.

On Thursday, Green Curry has had a playoff game for the first time since the Western Conference 2018 semi -finals when Curry was adopted in game 1 against the New Orleans Pelicans with a knee injury in game 1 in a playoff game. The Warriors are 9-3 in playoff games without a curry, but that was on a deeper squad with a younger green and former Warrior Klay Thompson. And Kevin Durant played in six of these games.

Kerr will rely on Green to play more with the ball, which Houston tried to neutralize in the first round by often putting Vanvleet on green. Green is just the eighth player in the NBA history who has 1,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists in the playoffs and Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen and Jason Kidd.

Without Curry, Green will probably play a point guard to relieve Butler's ball handling and bring the team to sets. Kerr said that the coaching team tried to find out how best to work without a curry on Wednesday.

“I had four sales,” said Green when I looked at the Stat leaf of game 1 on Tuesday evening. “Your error edge shrinks dramatically without Steph. We will see what coach has in stock. I will not come out and say: 'AW man, I have to be Steph.' I can't.

“But maybe I have to handle it a little more. Just play my role, honor the game plan that coach gives us. If I do more pieces, I will try to do that.”

After the surrounding game with game 1, Green was still trying to pump life into his team with a lead. Although Curry limped from the changing room, Green insisted that the warriors are “not in panic”.

His vows, better leading, is more needed than ever.

“I have to keep it the same for my boys,” said Green after game 7 about how important it will be to play as he did against Gobert on Sunday. “Don't forget anyone [like Gobert].
