2025 NBA playoffs – First spherical of the Jap Convention TakeAways

The NBA playoffs from 2025 are in full swing, and our NBA insiders covered them for each game in March for the final.

On Thursday, the No. 3-Samen New York Knicks defeated the No. 6-pistons in game 6 to get into the second round by winning a 3-point dagger by Jalen Brunson, the clutch player of the year.

Next, you will face No. 2 Boston Celtics, who displaced No. 7 Orlando Magic in five games in the first round.

No. 4 Indiana Pacers removed No. 5 Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday and took over against No. 1 D Cleveland Cavaliers, who defeated Miami heat No. 8 on Monday.

If the Ost playoffs continue, what is most important and what can be seen with the second round is.

Jump to a series:
Cavaliers-Heat | Celtics-Magic
Knicks piston | Pacers-Bucks

Game 6: Knicks 116, Pistons 113

What we learned:

Jalen Brunson and the Knicks-Gal how many double-digit leads they wasted Hatten just enough to put down a annoying piston fighter who did everything to bring the series into a seventh game.

New York pushed into the game and pressed out how important it is not to let his foot out of the pedal and play a full, 48-minute game. The Knicks ran a 14-point advantage in the first half before overtaking the pistons during the break. After coach Tom Thibodeaus Group jumped an 11-point advantage in the third, Detroit also closed this gap before ultimately pulling down the route. The pistons led up to seven, 112-105, with 2:35 games playing.

Detroit only scored the rest of the path one point, and the clutch player of the year, Brunson, who played without Karl-Anthony Towns, who went out of the field and went 3-opposite, broke out for the decisive 3 pointer to finally close the door.

Jalen Brunsons Clutch 3 in the last seconds wins series for Knicks

In the last seconds, Jalen Brunson has been a huge 3 pointer to drive the Knicks in her series clinching victory against the pistons.

Round 2, game 1: Knicks at Celtics (Monday)

What can be seen:

Can the Knicks, which were swept by the Celtics and were generally not competitive in the regular season against the defending champions, to make a game in Boston? Perhaps most important to see: How does New York, which played more drop-and-roll reporting against the Celtics than any other club, defend Boston's 3-point attack? After completing Detroit on Thursday, you have a decent peace and time for the coaches to prepare yourself in Boston before the start of the series.

Game 5: Pacers 119, Bucks 118 (OT)

What we learned:

The Pacers continued their dominance over the money and gathered from a 20-point deficit in game 5 to come back and to win the series clinching competition in an extension in a game-winning Layup from Tyrese Haliburton. Indiana has removed Milwaukee for the second time in a row, and the Pacers are 8: 3 against the goats in the playoffs in the playoffs.

It stops a matchup in the second round between the Pacers and the top seed Cleveland Cavaliers, who have the best offensive in the NBA and have just captured the Miami heat in their first round. If the Pacers can carry out a surprise, they could return to the Eastern Conference final for the second season in a row.

Thanks to a 30-point triple double from Giannis Antetocounmpo and a new starting line-up, the game started with a 13-0 run, not without a fight thanks to a 30-point triple double. Trainer Doc Rivers changed surprisingly and added Bobby Portis, AJ Green and Kevin Porter Jr. in favor of Kyle Kuzma, Brook Lopez and the injured Damian Lillard. But the season ended with heartbreaking fashion when Gary Trent Jr. held two sales in the last 30 seconds after only one in the entire series.

Tyrese Haliburton says he and his father have apologized to Giannis Antetokounmpo after the exchange 5 of the Pacers victory.

Game 5: Celtics 120, Magic 89

What we learned:

Even if the gentleman has the magic of the seventh seeds, they better believe that the defending champion Celtics is happy with this series.

The Magic offers several lengthy, aggressive defenders, and they spent the series guiding the Celtics from the 3-point line and bothering them with a physical, bloody defense that lasted 5 and made the Celtics frustrated frustrated.

But Orlando is (very) challenged (very), and when his star striker Paolo Banchero took three fouls at the beginning of the third quarter, the dynamics shifted in a large way. Banchero went to the bank with 9:46 in the third, and the Celtics exceeded the Magic 30-9, including the closure of the third with a 24: 4 run. Ball game.

Has the magic delivered a blueprint for slowing down the 3-point flood of the Celtics? Or are they just built perfectly? The latter seems more likely because the Celtics have fought against Orlando in recent years, but now the Celtics can rest the winner of the Pistons-Knicks series in the next round.

Jayson Tatum ensures that Celtics close the magic

Jayson Tatum 35 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists lead the Celtics to a series clinching victory over the magic.

Game 4: Cavaliere 138, heat 83

What we learned:

It was 70-25 at the end of the second quarter of game 4-a lead, which represents a lot for the CAVS and the heat when the former continues into the second round of the playoffs after ensuring a four-game sweyep of the latter.

It was such a one -sided score that you will probably ever see in an excretion game. The Cavs started 11 out of 20 from 3-point range, while heat 2 of 23 started. Let's just assume that the intensity levels of the two teams were not excited, with the lethargy of the heat a contrast to which the CAVS set up.

Cleveland broke the heat on game 2 with a strong finish. In the games 3 and 4, when Cleveland Guard Darius Garland was traveling with a bricked -up toe, the Cavs refused to improve De'andre Hunter's season and to give Dean Wade for additional minutes, two strikers who shared the available season. The result was great standards that made Tyler Herro, which were effectively walled and hard for the heat, and mostly had a miserable series.

Playing the big lineups is a lesson for the CAVS if you later got into a cucumber against stronger teams in the post -season. Back to them could prove to be a valuable curve ball, since one of the few weaknesses of Cleveland is a lack of size on the back court. Otherwise not much learned this evening.

Scientists get hold of a brand new understanding of how stars and planets kind

As young stars, they form a strong influence on their surroundings and create complex interactions between them and their environments. As you devour the gas and dust, create a rotating material pane. In this protoplanetary hard drive, planets form, and new studies show that stars feed too quickly and can resume material in the hard drive.

Thanks to Alma, we have a growing understanding of protoplanetary windows. The Atacama Large Millimeter-Submillimetre Array (Alma) has shown more than 100 of them. It has the angle resolution to examine these panes and to find the treacherous gaps in which astronomers believe that young planets form. Astronomers thought they were smooth in front of Alma, but the powerful radio telescope showed us that the planet formation begins early.

Due to the observations and other works by Alma, astronomers discovered discrepancies. No theoretical model can explain the size of the protoplanetarian discs (PD) by pre-Main sequencing stars (PMS). This “protoplanetary discrepancy of the disc size” is based on two contradictory observations.

These are 20 of the protoplanetar discs shown by Alma. Astronomers believe that every gap is where a planet forms. Photo credits: Alma (ESO/NAOJ/NRAO), S. Andrews et al.; NRAO/AUI/NSF, S. Dagnello

Alma observations show that PD is larger by massive stars. But the same slices conduct at much faster than around the stars with a lower mass. This focuses on a paradox: massive stars have larger windows, but less time for planets to form.

New research in nature astronomy can have a solution. It is entitled “The formation of protoplanetar slices by bondi-hoyle acceleration before the sequence”. The main author is Paolo Padoan, research professor at the Institute for Cosmosities at the University of Barcelona (ICSUB).

In our current understanding of planet formation in the PD, the PD are considered finite mass reservoirs for planets. They contain what is left after a gas cloud has collapsed into a proto -top core. This understanding sets up strong restrictions for our models with hard disk evolution and planet formation.

“We propose another scenario in which protoplanetar disks from stars before the main sequence are mainly compiled by Bondi-Hoyle acceleration from the overarching gas cloud,” the authors write. “We show that Bondi -Hoyle -Akcretion can not only deliver the mass, but also the angle impulse that is necessary to explain the observed size of protoplanetar discs.”

Bondi-Hoyle acceleration describes how an object is important while an object moves through a gas. It is an expansion of the simple Bondi accuration that describes a stationary object strainer. In this case, the speed of the PD provides the movement.

In the case of Bondi acceleration, the acceleration of the matter is spherical and symmetrical. Things are more complex in the accretion of Bondi-Hoyle. Accretion is neither spherical nor symmetrical and can even wake up an accretion. In this work, Bondi-Hoyle acceleration means that the young star runs too much matter from its surroundings, and some of the matters are returned to the PD.

“Stars are born in groups or clusters in large gas clouds and can stay in this area for several million years after their birth,” said Padoan in a press release.

“According to a star, its gravity can capture more material from the parent gas cloud, which is not sufficient to change the mass of the star significantly but sufficiently to change its hard drive. To understand what mass can attract a star with this Bondi-Hoyle acceleration, and the spin and size of the disc, which was induced by the new material Chaotic movement, the signed, and the signed client, and the violation of the Chaother movement, which is referred to by the past.

The researchers used simulations and analytical models to deal with this turbulence and to see whether they can explain the PD sizes found by Alma. This led to a new understanding of the complex interactions related to young stars.

“The comparison of the observable data from the simulations with real observations is crucial to validate the simulations,” said ICUCB researcher and team member Veli-Matti Pelkonen. “However, simulations enable us to go beyond the underlying density, speed and magnetic field structures and to follow them in good time. In this study, we were able to use simulation data to demonstrate that Bondi-Hoyle-Akcretion plays an important role in the formation of lifetime and measure reserves of stars in late stamilage.”

This number is a screenshot from the team's simulations. It shows a cube in space that contains a triple system of stars in front of the main sequence, with each side of the cube measures 4 parsec. The three missions show the cocks formed by the Bondi-Hoyle acceleration. While the stars circle, interweave and twist their extended bra tails. The hard drives around each star are not visible because they are too small to be dissolved in this simulation. The color scale shows the gap density. Photo credits: Padoan et al. 2025 Naturastronomy

BH inhabitant on the PMS is asymmetrical, which has a pronounced influence on the protoplanetar disc. Matter, which does not collide directly with the window, falls into the club and generates dense filaments, and the interiors that are closest to the star fall back on the pane.

“Due to the rather high density of the outgoing gas, its effect can be strongly concentrated on a limited hard disk region, which leads to significant disorders,” the authors write in their paper. “On the other hand, such filaments can escape the discovery due to their low column density.” This emphasizes that Alma, who are sent in the creation of PDS, cannot see these filaments.

Other researchers have found large -scale streams that feed young PDS, and these results match this research.

Young stars, their hard drives and the planets that form in them will be complex systems, and this research emphasizes that. Research also shows that we have a lot to learn.

“If it is further confirmed by future observations, this alternative scenario will force important revisions of the current models of the data carrier evolution and the planet formation,” the authors write.

These details are extremely difficult to observe and simulate. Scientists will make progress when supercomputers are becoming more powerful and telescopes progress together with them.

“With the increase in the computing power of supercomputers, we can model even more complex physical processes in simulations and further increase the loyalty of the simulations,” said Pelkonen. “In combination with the new and powerful telescopes (such as the James Webb Space Telescope and Alma, which is carried out unprecedented observations of newly formed stars), this progress will further strengthen our understanding of the star formation.”

Understanding how stars and planets form is an important research direction in astronomy, and more help is on the way.

In the upcoming telescopes such as the huge Magellan telescope, astronomers should give a better view of the PD in relation to stars before the main sequence. Due to its angle resolution, it can dissolve structures in PD, which are not detectable by current telescopes. It will have the opportunity to track changes in protoplanetic windows over time and open a new window, as young stars and planets form.

The proprietor of the Turkey hut paid 1,400 US {dollars} to the Torch rival bar, says FBI, says FBI

A hearing from the Federal Court in Houston, Texas, has shown many knowledge from the FBI examination in Lyndell 'lynn' price. The former co-owner of the Turkeibein hut, together with his alleged accomplices, was arrested on April 18 for arson. Now the investigators present all their discoveries in court after years of investigation.

Relationships: Gospel singer James Fortune applies legal steps against the owner of the Türkiye -Beinhütte for 300,000 US dollars of unpaid loans

An FBI agent said during the hearing

Per The Houston Chronicle, FBI Agent Deborah CLINE On Thursday, May 1st, it got up and claimed that the price allegedly paid 1,400 US dollars John Lee Price And Armani Williams To Torch Bar 5015. His former business partner at the Türkiye bone hut, Steven Rogers, had the establishment. According to CLINE, the motif was an alleged resentment about a failed business agreement. CLINE said Lyndell Price recruited the duo to expose the bar to the bar with gasoline and illuminate it to pay the score.

But there was more. Lee Price, a former employee of the Türkeibeinhütte, worked with the FBI during a 2023 -mississippi drug bust. Price confessed to helping to put the bar in Lyndell Price's orders in flames. CLINE said that he previously told the investigators how the turkey hut for a massive weed operation with hundreds of pounds of marijuana was hidden and shipped in the packaging of the restaurant.

Turkey leg Hut owner wrote Rogers that he would “hunt his bar”

Agent CLINE claimed that Lyndell Price had targeted Rogers since 2019 when Rogers bought 5015. First, Rogers planned to get together with Lyndell Price and his ex-wife. Nakia Holmesbut withdrawn. This triggered the tension between the couple. When Lyndell later rolled into the bar with a “box of cash” for purchase, Rogers switched off. At that moment Lyndell allegedly shot texts on Rogers and scoffed the bar 5015 because he was supposedly a waste of the Türkiye leg hut. Price also warned him that the spot would “chase into the air”. In addition, the law enforcement of Lyndell Price, where they discovered an arsenal, through a flame thrower and non -registered weapons.

Lyndell Price was not guilty of an indictment against three points, including the conspiracy for the inspection of arsonists and the use of an intergovernmental facility in order to rank a vehicle. After the hearing, the judge ordered Lyndell Price to be held without bond. Williams and Lee Price went out free of charge until future court appointments.

In the meantime, Price Essence's estranged wife told her peace, her children and her “healing trip”. She described the case as a personal nightmare and revealed that he separated from the price some time ago.

“In view of the recent events in which my alienated husband Lynn Price is involved, I would like to make it clear that my main focus will remain in the protection of my peace, my children and our healing trip,” she said. “This is a deeply painful and personal matter. I have been separated from Mr. Price for some time and have taken every necessary step to distance myself and my family from his actions and legal matters. My children and I ask for privacy, compassion and understanding, since we continue to continue with strength and grace.

CVS health On Thursday, he reported the result and income in the first quarter, which exceeded estimates and increased his guidance, since the restless insurance business showed a certain improvement in the reporting period.

The CVS shares rose by 7%on Thursday in the Premarket trade.

The company now expects to win the total year of $ 6.20 per share, from earlier instructions from $ 5.75 to $ 6 per share.

However, the company revised its GAAP -a -tached EPS guidelines in order to be lower, which includes charges in connection with a legal dispute in which the subsidiary of the Pharmacy Services provider, Omnicare is involved. A jury this week found that Omnicare is liable for the submission of medication without valid recipes to older and disabled people in assisted residential and long-term care facilities. CVS plans a calling.

The company has not offered sales forecast for the year. CVS said it was “a cautious view for the rest of the year” given the continued higher medical costs and “the potential for macro counterwind”.

“We have the markets we wanted and the life we wanted to compete for

“I think why they see no surprise from our part is because we are actually planning for increased trends this year,” he added.

Joyner said

“On the pharmacy side, I think that it depends to a high degree of what will happen in the next one or two weeks if you announce the effects of tariffs on the manufacturers,” he told CNBC. Joyner added that the vast majority of the company's retail products come from the shops in the United States, “which should be an advantage for us”.

CVS reported in the first quarter compared to the expectations of Wall Street, based on a survey of LSEG analysts:

  • Win each share: 2.25 USD per share adapted compared to USD 1.70 per share
  • Revenue: 94.59 billion US dollars are expected compared to 93.64 billion US dollars

The company's insurer, Aetna, and its competitors were pursued by higher than expected medical costs last year, since more medicare advantages return to patients in hospitals who delayed them during pandemic. For the first time in several quarters, CVS insurance business seemed to show some signs of an improvement.

The medical performance ratio of unit – a measure of the entire medical expenditure compared to the awards collected – fell from 90.4% in the previous year to 87.3%. A lower ratio usually indicates that a company has collected more in premiums than was paid out in services, which leads to higher profitability.

According to CVS, the move sometimes reflects a stronger underlying service in its medical business and improved Medicare Advantage Star reviews for the payment year 2025. These reviews help patients to compare the quality of Medicare's health and drug plans.

“I think that investments and talents that enabled us to concentrate on the execution and the company … actually contributed to determining the performance they see,” said Joyner, referring to a redesign of the managing director in the past year, which was wearing a new leader for the insurance unit and other parts of the business.

The results end the second full quarter with Joyner, a long -time CVS manager, as CEO of the retail Drugsree Chain. Joyner succeeded Karen Lynch in mid -October because CVS had difficulty making higher profits and improving his stock performance.

As part of a more comprehensive turnaround plan, which contains a reduction in costs of 2 billion US dollars in the next few years, the company was enforced.

Still CVS ' Performance was partially compensated for by a fee of $ 431 million from so-called premium deficiency reserves in the insurance unit, which is connected to the expected losses in the year 2025. This relates to liability that an insurer may have to cover if future bonuses are not sufficient to pay expected demands and expenses.

The company achieved a net result of 1.78 billion US dollars or $ 1.41 per share in the first quarter. This is compared to a net profit of $ 1.12 billion or 88 cents per share for the period of previous year.

With the exception of certain objects, such as B. depreciation of intangible assets, restructuring costs and capital losses, the adjusted profits were 2.25 USD per share for the quarter.

CVS booked the sales of 94.59 billion US dollars for the first quarter, which rose to 7% in the same period last year, since they grow in all three business phases.

According to StreetCcount, sales in the segment of the retail pharmacy segment of the Wall Street company were missing the expectations of the quarter. This business was put under pressure by softer consumer expenditure and lower reimbursements for prescription drugs.

Strength across business areas

The CVS insurance business booked a turnover of 34.81 billion US dollars in the quarter, which increased an increase of 8% compared to the first quarter of 2024. Analysts expected the unit to take 33.51 billion US dollars for this period, according to Street Account estimates.

The device also recorded an adjusted operating result of $ 1.99 billion in the first quarter, compared to USD 732 million for the period of previous year.

Also on Thursday, CVS said that Aetna will also offer the marketplaces for the Affordable Care Act – also as individual exchanges – health insurance plans.

The department for pharmacy and consumer wellness department of CVS booked 31.91 billion dollars in the first quarter, which rose to an increase of more than 11% compared to the same period in the previous year.

According to StreetCcount, however, this was well below the 35.27 billion US dollars that the analysts expected for the quarter.

This unit provides regulations in more than 9,000 retail pharmacies from CVS and offers other pharmacy services such as vaccinations and diagnostic tests.

The Health Services CVS segment achieved sales of 43.46 billion US dollars in the quarter, which rose to an increase of almost 8% compared to the same quarter in 2024. According to Street Account, analysts expected sales of 43.64 billion dollars for this period.

This unit includes Caremark, one of the largest pharmaceutical beefic managers in the country. Caremark negotiates drug discounts with manufacturers on behalf of insurance plans and creates lists of medication or form that are covered by insurance and reimburses pharmacies for recipes.

A easy, factual and smart refutation of the Chemtrail conscientious idea – with it?

I have recently received a lot of antiquity on social media about “chemtrails” from conspiracy theorists, as I am sure that many of them have also experienced readers. That is why I decided to create a reference post that uses list signs to achieve reference points. You can also refer to my 2016 refutation. You are welcome to share and use anywhere – Anthony

In the Chemtrail conscientious theory, it is claimed that aircraft contacts are chemical active ingredients that are deliberately sprayed for dark purposes. This theory is not supported by scientific evidence and contradicts well -established atmospheric science, logistical realities and environmental data. In the following you will find a short counter -argumentation that deals with important misunderstandings with additional information on strengthening the argument.

  • Water vapor, no chemicals areOn the contrary, when water vapor from the exhaust gas of the aircraft engine immediately condenses and freezes in ice crystals in ice crystals (over 25,000 feet) in ice crystals, where the temperatures are below -40 ° C. See the graphic below. These crystals create visible paths that consist of air humidity and temperature, as in Shearer et al. (2016). Studies such as Schumann (2005) also confirm that contracts are primarily based on water, whereby trace emissions (e.g. soot, sulfur) are inadequate in order to propose a deliberate chemical spread.
  • Persistence is a natural phenomenon: Chemtrail supporters cite durable paths as evidence of chemicals. However, the opponents exist in cold, moist conditions, since ice crystals are slowly sublimet, as in Shearer et al. Explained. (2016). The report by IPCC (1999) about aviation notes that the spread of contracts is about a meteorological effect, no signs of spraying.
  • No indication of chemical sprays: Claims of “chemtrails” are based on anecdotal reports or misinterpretations of the contractual behavior. No studies assessed by experts support a large spray program. Shearer et al. (2016) found that 98% of the atmospheric scientists reject the Chemtrail theory and matched the ratings of NASA (2017), which confirm that the contract is benign aviation products.
  • Logistic impossibility of confidentiality: A global chemtrail conspiracy would require coordination between thousands of pilots, technicians, scientists and civil servants in all nations. Maintaining confidentiality is indisputable, as stated by Spencer (2025). The Manhattan project, a much smaller company, confronted leaks; A visible, widespread program such as Chemtrails would not be hidden according to Mick West's analysis (2018).
  • Water tests misinterpretations: Specified evidence of metals such as aluminum or barium in rainwater are often cited by chemtrail supporters. These elements naturally appear in sea water, soil and dust, which contribute to rainwater composition through evaporation and precipitation. Spencer (2025) and the USGS (2004) confirm that trace metals in water match natural environmental processes and not with air spraying.
  • Historical context of the theory: The Chemtrail theory emerged in the nineties from misinterpretations of weather modification research such as cloud seeds and distrust of institutions. Spencer (2025) and West (2018) pursue its distribution on misinformation about routine aviation, without any credible evidence that despite decades of examination.

How to oppose the outlet of the Jet engine:

Source: Airservices Australia.com

Conclusion:

In summary, it can be said that the Chemtrail theory is refuted by extensive scientific evidence that condenses contracts as water vapor in ice crystals at high heights. Their persistence is a natural atmospheric process, and alleged chemical evidence correspond to the environmental standards. The theory continues to discuss impracticality to orchestrate a secret, global spray program.

Waymo and Toyota discover personally obsessed self -driving vehicles

Waymo and Toyota have announced that it is a strategic cooperation-and one of the most exciting options on the table is fully automatic driving technology for personally obsessed vehicles.

Waymo in the alphabet possession has made its name with its Robotaxi service, the only one who currently operates in the US in the US vehicles, including Jaguars and Hyundai Ioniq 5S, has recorded ten million autonomous miles of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Austin on the streets of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Austin.

Switching to personally obsessed cars is a much more complex challenge.

While the safety regulations are likely to loosen as part of the Trump management, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has so far pursued a cautious approach for the use of fully autonomous vehicles. General Motors Backed Cruise Robotaxi had to work after a fatal collision in 2023.

While the partnership with Toyota is still in the early phases, Waymo will initially examine how its autonomous systems can be merged with the consumer vehicle platforms of the Japanese car manufacturer.

In a recent call with analysts, the CEO from Alphabet, Sundar Pichai, signaled that Waymo is seriously considering expanding and in personal possession beyond the habil fleet. While nothing is confirmed, the partnership with Toyota gives this vision credibility – and muscles made.

Toyota brings decades of security innovation to the table, including its widespread Toyota Safety Sense technology. Due to its software department woven by Toyota, the company also urges the next generation vehicle platforms. With Waymo, Toyota is now also dealing with how automation beyond driving can develop into full autonomy for individual drivers.

This movement also drives up the heat from Tesla, which has promised consumers for a long time fully self -driving vehicles. While Tesla further refines his complete self -driving software (FSD), she remains supervised and has not yet delivered complete autonomy. CEO Elon Musk promises to start part of his first robotaxis in Austin in June.

When it comes to self -driving cars, Waymo and Tesla take very different streets. Tesla aims to offer affordability and scaling with his camera and AI-based software. In contrast, Waymo uses a more expensive technology that is based on pre -placed roads, sensors, cameras, radar and lidar (a laslightradar) to which the supervisory authorities were faster.
