Restaurant apologizes to Serena Williams after she was denied entry

Serena Williams' Adventures in Paris continue to serve the drama.

After the tennis star announced that she and her family – including her daughters Olympia Ohanian6 and Adira Ohanian12 months that she shares with her husband Alexis Ohanian– she was denied access to the Parisian restaurant Peninsula during her stay in France for the 2024 Olympic Games, the restaurant responded to her allegations and explained the reasons for the unfortunate incident.

“Please accept our deepest apologies for the disappointment you experienced this evening,” the hotel responded on August 5. “Unfortunately, our rooftop bar was actually fully booked and the only free tables you saw belonged to our gourmet restaurant L'Oiseau Blanc, which was fully reserved.”

They added: “It has always been an honour to have you join us and it will always be an honour to have you join us again.”

The apology comes after Serena called the restaurant on X and claimed that she and her family were not allowed to eat on their roof.

“Oops @peninsulaparis I was denied access to the rooftop to eat in an empty restaurant in nicer places but never with my kids,” she wrote. “Always a first time. #Olympic2024.”
