In a segment from a new episode of Uninterrupted's “The Shop,” LeBron addressed one of the most anticipated scenarios while playing with his son: Will Bronny be allowed to call LeBron “daddy” in the locker room, at practice and at games?

“[He] “I'm not allowed to call myself 'Dad' at work,” LeBron said.

Bronny was selected number 55 in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Lakers, where his father LeBron is entering his seventh season. Before Bronny's draft, an active father-son duo had never played in the NBA at the same time.

“As soon as we leave the private facility and close the gates, I could be a father again [and] in the car when we drive together, at home I could be a dad,” LeBron said.

LeBron has alternatives when it comes to calling the 19-year-old his basketball father.

“He can call me '2-3' or 'Bron' or, well, 'GOAT' if he wants. It's up to him.”

“We can't just run down the court and he'd say, 'Dad, shoot the ball up! Dad, I'm free! Dad, come on!'” LeBron said.

James begins his 21st season in the NBA with the Lakers after agreeing to return to the franchise on a two-year, $104 million contract that includes a player option for 2025-26 and a no-transfer clause.

Bronny agreed to a four-year, $7.9 million contract with a team option for the final year of his contract.
