Olivia Rodrigo has taken a three-step step back from the VMAs.
While stars like Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan And Be silent When the “Vampire” singer, who was nominated for four awards, gathered at the UBS Arena in New York for the 2024 MTV VMAs on September 11, her absence was noticeable.
Why didn't Olivia show up at the awards ceremony? The 21-year-old was busy with the Guts World Tour. After finishing the North American leg of her tour, the “Traitor” singer celebrated the first anniversary of her second album while touring Europe.
“That’s me today, happy as a fish in water, grateful as hell,” says Olivia, who Louis Partridge– she wrote in her September 8 Instagram post, posing in front of a stunning landscape, complete with a glowing rainbow. “Thank you for all the love you've shown this album over the last 365 days. Life is freaking magical.”
However, she cannot tour the European fields for too long as she is expected at the Impact Arena in Bangkok on September 15 to start the Asian and Australian legs of her tour.
