The Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, once celebrated as an avant -garde by Dodge's Electric Muscle Car Future, is dropped for the model year 2026.

According to a report by moparinsite, the scat pack variant will now list the Daytona list and mark an important pivot point in the EV strategy of Stellantis.

The charger Daytona R/T, originally introduced with courageous ambitions, was developed to offer an accessible gate for the electrical output. With its 456 hp dual engine setup and the optional direct connection stage kit of 509 hp, it was ready to inspire both muscle car fans and EV-newcomers. However, market deals have painted a different picture.

Industry and media reports underline the core problem: the buyers were simply not biting. Despite its impressive specifications and nostalgic construction instructions, the R/T tried to justify the price that started almost $ 60,000. At this level, buyers expected either more power or more premium functions. Without a strong sales drive, Dodge made the difficult call to create the R/T variant for 2026, and instead concentrated to concentrate on strips that better sound.
