JJ Watt brings the information of his personal signature with Cardinals and places an finish to wild hypothesis about free businesses

Well, we can finally confirm where JJ Watt will play next season as the report comes from a fairly trustworthy source: JJ Watt.

The free agent defender brought news of his own signature on Monday and announced on Twitter that he would join the Cardinals. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Watt and the Cardinals have entered into a $ 31 million two-year deal with a $ 23 million guarantee.

The 31-year-old will reunite with old Texan teammate DeAndre Hopkins, who did his best to recruit Watt on Instagram. He recently posted a photo of the two hugging in the field with the caption, “Let’s finish what we started.”

With his announcement, Watt ended a wild period of speculation about where he would end up. There have been multiple reports of which teams he would be considering, and fans continuously dissected his social media posts in hopes of finding small clues as to his intentions. But Watt didn’t leave much room for interpretation with that last tweet – he’s on his way to Arizona now.

Watt was released by the Texans last month after running a 10 season run in Houston. After Watt was selected by the Texans with No. 11 in the 2011 NFL Draft, he quickly became one of the best players in the league. He won three Defensive Player of the Year awards and received five Pro Bowl nods.

In 16 games last season Watt had a total of 52 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, five sacks, two forced fumbling and an interception, which he returned for a touchdown.
