When does the NCAA championship begin? TV schedule, channel for the 2021 school basketball title sport

One game remains to wrap up one of the most tumultuous college basketball seasons in recent history.

There’s no denying that the COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc over the past calendar year, with the 2020 tournament abruptly canceled and several games postponed or canceled the following season. It even affected the 2021 tournament, forcing the VCU to go home without a game.

And yet we end up with a matchup between the two best teams in college basketball: Gonzaga No. 1 from the west, 31-0, and Baylor No. 1 from the south, 27-2. Ironically, this is a matchup college basketball fans should watch earlier in the season. Of course it was canceled due to COVID-19.

Better late than never, okay?

Still, one couldn’t have wished for a better end of the season. Both Mark Fews Bulldogs and Scott Drews Bears are looking for the first NCAA tournament championship of their respective programs. Both were by far the best team on the floor throughout March Madness – aside from a Final Four fight between Gonzaga and UCLA – which means there is something to be given on Monday.

These teams have a combined five players who are among the first, second and third team All-Americans of Sporting News 2020-21, including NCAA tournament stalwarts such as Drew Timme von Gonzaga, Jalen Suggs, Corey Kispert and Jared Butler by Baylor and Davion Mitchell.
