Men’s college hockey has reached its last four teams.
Four teams will come to Pennsylvania for the ultimate men’s college hockey award. One school – Minnesota Duluth – will go for its third consecutive championship while the other three will go for the # 1 title.
The last two Minnesota Duluth championships were held in 2018 and 2019. In 2020 there was no champion because of COVID-19. If it wins, it’s only the second team to make it, and the first team since Michigan (1951-53).

How has COVID-19 impacted the men’s Frozen Four of 2021?
UMass has to do without four players due to the COVID protocols: goalkeepers Henry Graham and Filip Lindberg and strikers Jerry Harding and Carson Gicewicz. Lindberg is the team’s best goalkeeper and Gicewicz is the team’s leading goalscorer.
The team’s Student Equipment Manager, Zac Steigmeyer, will serve as a backup for Matt Murray.
Minnesota Duluth announced Thursday that goalkeeper Ryan Fanti has not traveled to Pittsburgh and is out due to COVID logs. Zach Stejskal and Ben Patt will be the Netminders. Stejskal started the epic five overtime game that the Bulldogs won in the regional final against North Dakota. He had to go in the fourth extra time because of cramps.
