Masters Rankings 2021: Dwell Golf Outcomes, Second Spherical Outcomes on Friday

It is again a tradition like no other, like everyone else. The Masters, postponed in 2020 and played for the first time in history in the fall, returns to its familiar place on the spring sports calendar with a semblance of normalcy.

Five months ago, Dustin Johnson received the first green jacket of his career from Tiger Woods under unusual COVID-19 circumstances with no fans on a rainy November weekend. The fans are back at Augusta National in limited capacity, but Woods is not. The 44-year-old golf superstar is recovering from a life-threatening car accident in February and will miss his first Masters since 2017.

Johnson, who is number one in the world, will be co-favorites this weekend to win on the 88-player field alongside Bryson DeChambeau. Since Woods 2001/02 there has been no repeat winner at the Masters for two consecutive years. DeChambeau, who finished 34th in 2020, didn’t finish more than 21st in Augusta.

Jordan Spieth (+1200) also has momentum on his side thanks to a victory at the Valero Texas Open last weekend and is raising the hopes of his fans. The three-time grand winner took golf by storm in 2015 by winning the Masters and the US Open, but hadn’t won much since the 2017 British Open.

Jon Rahm (+1200), Justin Thomas (+1200) and Rory McIlroy (+1900) are expected to be among the other top challengers taking on a green jacket from Johnson this weekend.
