Angel Reese talks about her relationship with G Herbo
On Thursday, September 5, the first episode of Reese's podcast, “Unapologetically Angel,” was released via YouTube. About 30 minutes into the episode, Reese's co-host Maya Reese asked the WNBA player about the viral footage of her and G Herbo. As The Shade Room previously reported, Reese was spotted in Chicago in June while sitting in the passenger seat of G Herbo's car.
Because of this sighting, some social media users immediately believed that the two were dating.
“If I tell you, I can call G Herbo to this day – that's someone who will make sure I get by if I ever need anything in Chicago,” Reese explained.
The 22-year-old added that Herbo's gesture was not intended to be flirtatious, and explained that her friends were also in the back seat of the car the night she was seen with the rapper.
“And that's it,” she said. “I mean, you didn't see me in the car kissing this man. So where did you get that? … This is someone I can literally call anytime…”

The WNBA star talks about speculation that she had a baecation with Jalen Duren
As the conversation continued, Reese was also asked about speculation that she recently vacationed with NBA basketball player Jalen Duren. As The Shade Room previously reported, social media believed the couple vacationed together in July. At the time, social media posts seemed to show that they were both in the same tropical location.

“I can’t go on vacation with my cousin?” Reese asked humorously. “…No, that’s not my cousin, but [yeah,] I'm going on a trip. I'm 22 years old and I'm allowed to go out and have fun.”
Reese apparently stated that if she had wanted the world to know her whereabouts at that time, she would have shared it, so she believes the speculation was an invasion of her privacy. Despite this, Reese stated that she was grateful to have “some time off” and was “just there for a good time.”
Earlier in the episode, Reese also talked about her relationship with her famous WNBA rival Caitlin Clark, explaining that there was no real “fight” between them.
