Bruce Willis‘ Family provides update on his health journey.
Almost a year after the actor’s wife Emma Heming Willishis ex Demi Mooreas well as children Rumer Willis34, Scout Willis31, Tallulah Willis29, Mabel Willis10 and Evelyn Willis8, announced he had been diagnosed with aphasia, the group has now shared that his condition is advanced.
“Our family first wanted to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis,” read the message, which was posted to Instagram and was signed by the Willis/Moore ladies. “With that in mind, we wanted to give you an update on our beloved husband, father and friend as we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.”
Since sharing his initial diagnosis, they said they now have a “more specific diagnosis” of frontotemporal dementia known as FTD. The statement added: “Unfortunately, communication issues are just a symptom of the illness Bruce is facing. Although painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”
