Chris Brown has high hopes for Donald Trump's presidency
Recently, The Shade Room caught a message that Chris Brown shared on his Instagram Stories before it was deleted. The “Sensational” singer shared one of his hopes for Donald Trump as he prepares to officially assume the role of the 47th President of the United States, whose inauguration is scheduled for January 20, 2025.
Breezy added the eye emoji and then asked his Instagram followers and fans: “Was anyone else hoping for Trump to shut down the IRS?” he added, “If he can do that…PUT THIS MAN ON THE HUNDRED DOLLAR BILL.”
Trump says he will create “external tax revenues.”
Although Donnie hasn't said he will eliminate taxes, he announced plans for a new government agency on Tuesday. According to the AP, he wants to create the External Revenue Service to collect tariffs and other revenue from abroad.
“We're going to start charging trading fees to those who make money with us, and they're going to start paying,” Trump said on his social media site Truth Social on Tuesday.
He compared his proposed creation to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). To do this, he needs a resolution from Congress, and Republicans have a majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
One thing Trump has made loud and clear is his intention to shrink the size of government. However, the new agency he proposes will take on functions already carried out by existing agencies. That may mean job cuts for people who work in agencies like the Commerce Department and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
However, billionaire Elon Musk and fellow entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy are at the forefront of Trump's ambitious efforts to reduce the size and scope of the federal government. Note that tariffs have become a benchmark of Trump's economic agenda early in his second term.
