Grid operators now appear to be taking the risk of power outages this winter seriously.
This is what I got today:
Simply using “bad weather” as an excuse is just silly. We have bad weather every year and short-term power outages often occur for a variety of reasons.
They are annoying, but nothing more. The television turns on along with the computer. But the worst thing is that the alarm goes off next door!
But we don't get these well-coordinated warnings.
But clearly these small events are not what Northern Powergrid has in mind. Instead, they seem to be worried about major outages when we simply don't have enough power.
I wonder why?
