Gayle King says she is going to ban all unvaccinated members of the family from Thanksgiving festivities

Roommate, during a recent interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci on the new Delta variant of COVID-19 told Gayle King that she is taking strict precautions against the virus – which includes banning members of her own family from Thanksgiving if they are not vaccinated.

While she was with US Covid-19 advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci speaking on “CBS This Morning,” Gayle King explained her reasons for keeping all of her unvaccinated relatives at a distance this Thanksgiving:

“I don’t know how many times you can say to people, ‘Listen, it will save your life.’ I have this problem with some members of my own family that I am about to ban for the Thanksgiving holiday. That’s how much I take what you say. “

Dr. Fauci reiterated her comments, urging that more Americans continue to get fully vaccinated as the more intense Delta variant continues to move rapidly in the United States. According to the latest report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 48% of the US population is now fully vaccinated – the equivalent of 159.5 million people. By now, nearly 185 million (or 55%) have received at least one vaccine dose.

As we previously reported, COVID-19 cases have increased in 45 states, with 34 of those states seeing a 50% increase in reported cases, according to CNN.

CNN also reports that most of the new cases are unvaccinated. “In June, 99% of COVID-19-related deaths were also unvaccinated,” said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
