Hayden Panettiere remembers her stage fright in Nashville

Even famous country singers get stage fright sometimes — or at least those who play them on TV.

Hayden Panettiere— who played country-pop singer Juliette Barnes on all six seasons of Nashville from 2012 to 2018 — recently recalled how petrified she was when she first recorded music for the show.

“I wasn’t trained. Like, scared, scared, shaking,” Hayden exclusively told E! News’ The Rundown. “I go in and I’m already apologizing to the producers because I’m like, ‘Look, it’s going to take me a long time to warm up, but I’m going to make it. I’ll make it, I promise.’”

Then things took a turn and she had the most understandable reaction of all.

“They said to me in the middle of the session, ‘All the producers are going to stop by,'” Hayden told the host Erin Lim Rhodes. “I almost puked, pooped, fainted. I think I called someone and said, ‘Nobody told me,’ hiccups and cried.”

Hayden, of course, would eventually feel more comfortable and record a long list of memorable songs for Nashville. Her track “Telescope” from the show’s first season even cracked the Billboard Country Songs chart in 2012.
