Hornets stun warriors after Draymond Inexperienced’s late expulsion; Steve Kerr says the striker has crossed the road.
The Hornets stunned the Warriors on Saturday night in Charlotte with a Terry Rozier Summer Beater. It was an anti-climactic game winner as well, as you will see, based on what happened in the seconds just before the shot.
In order for Rozier to even attempt this shot, Charlotte first had to:
– Control a jump ball in midfield.
– Get some time out after Gordon Hayward is possessed but before he was handcuffed to the ground by Draymond Green.
– Hit two free throws after Green was thrown for arguing over the timeout call. Yes, the officers led Green in this situation.

Rozier made the technical free throws with 9.3 seconds to go and then scored from the left wing while Charlotte was still in possession.
Warrior trainer Steve Kerr was straightforward with his criticism of Green’s actions.
“He’s crossed the line, that’s the main thing,” Kerr told reporters on his post-game call. “We love his passion and his energy. We wouldn’t be the team we are without him. But that doesn’t give him a license to cross that line, and he knows it.”
Golden State striker Eric Paschall told reporters that Green had belatedly expressed regrets. (VOICE WARNING on first tweet below.)
Eric Paschall on Draymond Green’s two late ts: “He said it was his fault. He took over the property. We still rock with Dray no matter what. Shit happens in the NBA. Learn from it.”

Eric Paschall said Draymond Green walked into the locker room after the game and the loss was his fault. “He’s a great leader and competitor,” said Paschall. “You can’t really be mad about that. He wants to win.”

Regarding the reason for the ejection, acting crew chief Mark Davis told a pool reporter after the game that Green used the first technique for “verbal mockery of an opponent” (Davis did not identify the mocked player) and the second technique for directing “screaming obscenity “with an official.
