HOUSTON – After the Lions fell behind 10-0 early against the Texans, Detroit quarterback Jared Goff used play-action to hit tight end Sam LaPorta for a 20-yard touchdown pass.
Goff, outside the pocket, connected with LaPorta for a deep right-handed pass at 10:52 of the second quarter.
The score marked Goff's 200th career passing touchdown and his sixth play-action passing TD of the season, tied for the most by Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson and Sam Darnold, according to ESPN Research.
