Lauren London tells how she met Nipsey Hussle

As mentioned, fans especially enjoyed Lauren's candid memories of how she met the late Nipsey Hussle and developed a wonderful relationship with him. During a conversation with Radhi, Lauren recalled being on a set in Los Angeles when Nipsey's “Crenshaw” mixtape came out. The “ATL” star noted that all the women on set were listening to it.

“They were all from LA. We were in LA for this shoot. I thought, 'It would be really cool if I got them his mixtape and all that Crenshaw stuff,'” Lauren said.

Lauren then decided to ask her boyfriend Danny if he knew Nipsey because she wanted to get a discount on his mixtapes and merchandise when making a bulk purchase.

“So Nip never reached out. His manager then reached out to my friend. I didn't get the discount either. So I was like, oh, okay! I guess he doesn't want to give it to me, it's OK. And then I bought the stuff and gave the girls their rap gifts. I ended up following him on… Maybe it was Twitter? Or… At the time, it was Twitter. I don't know, I don't remember. Maybe Instagram,” London continued.

The “You People” actress then explained that Nip thanked her for her support via direct message and told her he would send her a personal box of his merchandise.

“Then he gave me his number. So I texted him because I was like, I don't DM. Yeah, I thought he was OK. When I followed him, at first I thought… He took the bait. I always found him very attractive. I actually had friends who knew him years before that were like, I think you guys would get along. But, you know, I was just a single parent,” Lauren concluded.
