Mohamed Salah has left the door open to a possible move to Spain by suggesting that he would like to play in the league in the future.
The Liverpool star has long been linked to a move to Real Madrid and already pointed out a possible move to Spain in an interview with AS in December 2020.
With the Reds having a disappointing 2020-21 national season, rumors of a possible Salah exit are unlikely to go away. He has again commented on his future to the Spanish press and refused to rule out leaving the Premier League champions.
What was said
Salah spoke to Marca ahead of the Champions League clash with Zinedine Zidane, answering questions about his future at the Reds.
“It is not up to me [whether I stay]”Said Salah.” We’ll see what happens, but I’d rather not talk about it now.
“”[My relationship with Klopp] is a normal relationship between two professionals. That’s how I would describe it. “
When asked if he would like to try Spanish football after playing in England and Italy, the Egyptian added: “I hope I can play for many years to come.
“Why not? Nobody knows what’s going to happen in the future, so … maybe one day [I will play in in Spain], Yes.”
Speaking brightly on Zidane, the 28-year-old said: “He’s a great coach. He’s won three Champions League. He’s doing a very good job with the team. He went and came back to help the team with trophies to win.” again. He was one of my idols when I was little. He’s doing great as a coach. “

“Another interview, another Spanish publication.
“After AS in December, we have Marca in March and Mohamed Salah is another exclusivity for a newspaper with strong links to Real Madrid.
“In this case, understandable given the upcoming Champions League clash between Real and Liverpool. Salah’s quotes on the draw were relatively tame. He resisted the urge to ignite the flames when it came to Sergio Ramos and spoke respectfully of Zinedine Zidane and his crew.
“He was of course asked again about his future and gave another rather vague answer.” We’ll see, “was the basic idea behind it.
“That will undoubtedly spark new rumors about a possible summer move, as well as the rather brief answer he gave about his relationship with Jürgen Klopp.” Two professionals, “that’s how he described it.
“The truth, however, is that Salah’s exit from Anfield is unlikely at all this summer. Liverpool are planning for the next season with their top scorer and plans to offer him a new contract extension remain in place. Salah’s current contract expires in 2023 .
“Who, if anyone, could afford it now? Certainly not Barcelona, whose financial troubles are for everyone to see, and probably not Real, who are expected to appeal to younger players who will keep the club for the next decade Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland for example.
“Would Ligue 1 and PSG appeal to a player for whom heritage and global recognition are so important? Probably not. Despite this season’s troubles, Salah knows that Liverpool are a club that will have to contend for major honors in the coming seasons.
“And Liverpool expects him to bring these charges.”
