Pep Guardiola warned his players from Manchester City that they have to earn a place in the Champions League and that it does not come “from the sky”.
City's hope of qualifying for the competition of the next season was set 1-0 against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The late winner of Callum Hudson -odoi leaves Forest third place in the table, while Guardiola's team with 10 remaining games is fourth.
“We have to play better,” said the city boss.
“We have to do something [Champions League qualification] will not come from the sky. Of course the situation is what it is. Ten games left, next Saturday against Brighton and after we will see what happens. “

City goalkeeper Éderson had previously made a wonderful rescue to refuse Forest when he taped Hudson -odoi's shot on the post.
But the Brazilian seemed to be to blame when he was hit on his almost post.
“It is what it is,” said Guardiola. “I never blame a player. I didn't see the campaign.”

“It was a tight game,” added Guardiola. “In the end we missed a transition and they carried out and achieved a transition.
“We were a little slow in our process. We trouble conquering opportunities, but I always gave the opponent recognition because they had really defended well. Everyone was so connected.
“Our game was a bit slow, we couldn't contact the last third and when we arrived in the last third, we didn't have the brilliance.”
