A group of large European media organizations started a chat bot that aims to combat the online disinformation.
The tool called Chateurope reacts to queries with information checked by journalists. It was set up by a consortium of media brands under the direction of Agence France press. Fourteen more news organizations, including France Médas Monde, Deutsche Welle, El País and RFI of Romania, supported the project, which is also supported by the European Commission.
The chat bot was designed by Druid Ai, a Romanian AI platform, and uses a voice model developed by French Startup Mistral. It is organized in the infrastructure created by the Paris open source software provider Xwiki.
Andreea Pleşea, co -founder and CEO of Druid Ai, said the tool enables “natural, human conversations” with which people in their own language can access credible information.
