NASA Jettison's' local weather needle, the business and different drags on house program – watts with that?

From the legal uprising

Real Space missions are back on the menu!

The last time I wrote together on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), the agency's staff from President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, begged to “Clean House”, as Insider reveals that the agency of tax money for diversity and admission (di) -Programs missed.

Her wish was granted and less than 100 days after Trump's second term.

Janet Petro, the reigning director of NASA, announced the move on Monday in a Memo preserved from USA Today and called him a “gradual reduction in strength”, which “in advance” occurs for agencies to submit discharge plans for the government's resources.

The memo has not announced how many NASA jobs are shortened.

The cuts will close the NASA's technology, politics and strategy. The office of chief scientist; And the two -way division of diversity, justice, inclusion and accessibility in the office of diversity and equal opportunities, said the memo. The agency would also reduce the workforce in the office for diversity and equal opportunities.

The mainstream media may decipher the “chief scientist” ax, but this “scientist” was actually a climate consultant.

Real Space missions are back on the menu:

The cuts concern about 20 NASA employees, including Katherine Calvin, chief scientist and expert in climate science. The last working day for Dr. Calvin and the other employees are April 10th.

This could be a harbinger of deeper cuts in the NASAS scientific missions and a stronger emphasis on the human space flight, especially on Mars. During the speech by President Trump to the Congress last week, he said: “We will lead humanity into space and plant the American flag on the planet Mars and even far beyond.”

Change!!!!!

Changes signal potential NASA shift from climate science to human space flight

The branch for diversity, justice, inclusion and accessibility (Deia) and another department also close.

The Office for Technology, Politics and Strategy of NASA has now only been founded in 2021 and acts as a home for the chief economist and chief technologist of the space agency, which provides the administrator “with analytical, strategic and decisive insights in the form of quick analysis, memos and reports”.

The third NASA office aimed and coordinated the agency's DEIA efforts, was also the least surprising because President Donald Trump's administration declared that it would eliminate such efforts throughout the government.

The most interesting thing about this news is that this is the first round of discharge of the agency and the deductions of the management of the management.

These have been the first shots of NASA since Trump's office and you have recorded a different pattern for those in other federal authorities in the past few weeks.

For unknown reasons, NASA was spared from the extensive dismissal of probation employees with little workplace protection because they have been in its positions for less than two years.

The move makes NASA the first agency under the current Trump administration to prevent the career as an employee preventively, and previously begins the necessary “reductions in violence” (Rifs), which many observers had expected. It remains unclear whether other agencies could follow the leadership of NASA.

The reduction of the workforce at NASA has started.

The closed departments include the office of chief scientist; The Office for Technology, Politics and Strategy; And the DEI branch of its office for diversity and equal opportunities.

Readers of the legal supervision may remember that Trump selected the billionaire, astronaut and hero of the “Polaris” mission Jared Isaacman to lead NASA. Its confirmation is still in the US Senate, and no date for the hearing was set.

I suspect that Isaacman, when he arrives on his first day as a NASA director, will find a wonderfully new agency.
