Ready or not, the 2021 NBA All-Star Game is coming soon.
Despite some strong objections from players, the NBA is moving ahead with its plans. The league announced Thursday that it would bring All-Star Festivities to Atlanta and hold all of its events on March 7th, including the Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest, and Slam Dunk Contest.

How does the NBA All-Star Voting Process work?
The fan vote makes up 50 percent of the total vote to determine the starters for the NBA All-Star game. Current players and media members share the other 50 percent. Each ballot consists of two guards and three front court players from each conference. Reserves are selected by NBA head coaches and league commissioner Adam Silver selects injuries replacements when necessary.
All-Star Captains then draw their teams from the qualified player pool (starters in the first round, reserves in the second round). Captains are selected based on which players get the most fan votes in each conference. You don’t have to write based on your conference affiliation or position.
