No gasoline and no air for ladies giving beginning within the eco-utopian future – isn't that an issue?

FROM SALLUS

Anyone who has doubted the zeal of our time's eco-warriors and the depth of their totalitarian tendencies need only turn to a “marriage diary” published in the Telegraph. It was written by a woman who is now pregnant after 10 years of marriage to her “self-professed eco-warrior husband.” In fact, his climate expertise was why she married him in the first place.

Although it was never high on my agenda, I was happy to follow his example: we swapped all of our cleaning products for eco-friendly alternatives, used our bikes to get around, and recently swapped the diesel car for an electric car. Now I am pregnant with our first child and I am sure that we will raise our children with the same values.

However, when we learned about the possibilities of having a child at a recent childbirth class, my husband announced that there was no way I would be gassy and gassy during labor due to the environmental impact.

I laughed out loud when he said that because I assumed he was joking. The look on his face told me that wasn't the case. He held out his phone to show me an article about the Scottish government writing to the NHS about the impact of Entonox's greenhouse gas emissions, commonly known as “gas and air”.

He smugly told me that they were calling for greater awareness of the impact on the planet and asking pregnant women to do their part to combat greenhouse gases and climate change.

It goes without saying that the atmosphere in our birth preparation class could be cut with a knife. Like me, people initially assumed he was joking. I tried to remain calm as I pointed out that I would do whatever I needed and wanted to do during labor to make the whole process easier. He protested vehemently and did not give in. In fact, he seemed offended that I would put myself, and indeed our child, above the environment.

He claims that the use of Entonox in Scotland is equivalent to 18,000 transatlantic flights. I lost it and stormed out, outraged that he wasn't making me a priority and that he was embarrassing me in public.

Anyone want to bet on how long this marriage will last? Is this a sign of the eco-utopian vision of the future? Not only no pain relief for women in labor, but also no medical treatment? On the bright side, this kind of patriarchal “green” Handmaid's Tale attitude perhaps brings to light the sheer insanity of climate alarmist culture and the psychological and personal trauma it causes. It could also result in a large proportion of female votes going elsewhere.

It's definitely worth reading in full.
