president Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden had a pretty royal engagement this week.
The couple met on Sunday, June 13th Queen Elizabeth the second at their home at Windsor Castle. The queen who recently lost her husband Prince Philip, and celebrated the arrival of their great-granddaughter Lilibet of Prince Harry and Meghan MarkleShe wore a pink floral dress and a matching hat to greet the couple. Jill wore a powder blue suit while the POTUS wore a dark suit with a blue tie.
Before the meeting, Jill told reporters, “Joe and I are both excited to meet the Queen. This is an exciting part of the visit for us. We’ve been looking forward to it for weeks and now it’s finally here. It’s a wonderful start. “
This is the first time the 95-year-old queen has had a private meeting with a political leader since the coronavirus pandemic began. However, it was not the first time that she was in the presence of the current first family. She met the Bidens earlier this week at the G7 summit in Cornwall, England, along with a number of other leaders.
