Roommate, it appears rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is accused of damaging a property he rented in Mahwah, New Jersey in 2017. On September 1st of that year, A Boogie signed a 12 month lease to rent a luxury property from Dr. Lawrence and Carolyn Guarino. One boogie left a $ 15,000 deposit and agreed to pay $ 10,000 a month in rent to live in the apartment.
However, in December 2018, A Boogie allegedly left the property without prior notice, according to All Hip Hop. Not only did he leave the property, but the Guarinos claim A Boogie left significant damage throughout the house totaling $ 263,592.24. The Guarinos claim the landscape has been ruined, the toilets in the bathroom clogged and the carpet on the property cut and replaced with mismatched pieces. They also claim A Boogie left two vehicles on the property.
The Guarinos claim that A Boogie left their home with the doors unlocked and opened to allow water to enter the property. This led to considerable damage to the high-quality interior fittings, so that the house could only be rented out after extensive repairs, according to the Guarinos.
Since the house is in such poor condition, Dr. Guarino that he contacted the Mahwah police to report the damage and possible vandalism to the abandoned house. The Guarinos are also suing A Boogie and his company, High Bridge The Label, in the New Jersey Supreme Court.
This isn’t the first time A Boogie has come into conflict with the law. If you remember, last December, the day after his birthday, he was arrested on December 7th for unlawful possession of a pistol, which is a second degree crime, and possession of marijuana (an offense against disorderly people).
