Responding to spa shoots in Atlanta, Jeremy Lin gives phrases of encouragement to the Asian neighborhood
Jeremy Lin continues to use his platform to speak out against Asian hatred.
The former NBA guard spoke words of encouragement and hope on Tuesday evening following the spa shootings in the Atlanta area that killed eight people, including many Asian women.
Lin tweeted:
This is sooo heartbreaking … to pray for our world. Please take the time to grieve for my Asian American family but know that you are loved, seen, and IMPORTANT. We need to keep standing up, speaking out, uniting and fighting for change. We can’t lose hope !! ❤️ # StopAsianHate #NOW https://t.co/Xm4ojbJALw

Lin, a Taiwanese American, has outwardly supported the Stop Asian Hate movement, which has been growing in recent months, as the country faces a surge in Asian hate crimes in many communities.
The suspect in the shootings was arrested 150 miles south of Atlanta.
Lin last played in the NBA for the Toronto Raptors in 2019 and is currently with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA G-League.
