KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Winning a second Super Bowl in four seasons has its privileges for Travis Kelce, the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs. One of them is that he will be a guest host on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” on March 4th.
Kelce announced the news as a guest on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
“I was a huge like [Chris] farley, [Will] Ferrell, Fallon guy growing up,” Kelce said. “And I used to watch Saturday Night Live with my mom. It is an absolute honor and privilege to host ‘SNL’ on March 4th.
“I’m so nervous about it, oh my god.”
Fallon replied: “You’re going to be so good. i spoke to you [‘SNL’ creator] lorne [Michaels] today, and I’m like, ‘He’s so charming and he can sing and he’s fun.'”
Said Kelce, “Is that what you think about me? Thanks man. …You make me blush.”
Musical guest this evening is country singer Kelsea Ballerini.
