Tottenham's Ange Postecoglou: Even Mohamed Salah would have problem right here

Ange Postecoglou has said that even Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah would struggle in his Tottenham team.

Salah has been one of Europe's most in-form players this season, scoring 21 goals in 27 games and helping Liverpool to the top of the Premier League after 19 games.

However, it would be unlikely that he would have reached this level of performance if he had played for Tottenham this season, Postecoglou said a day before the two teams met in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.

“Mo is a world-class player, but if you add him to our team now, I'm not sure he will reach the same level of performance because of the situation we find ourselves in as a group,” Postecoglou said.

“His attacking game, who do you need? They need a team that is somehow in good form, creates chances, plays up front and has a really solid foundation of a cohesive defense. None of this exists at the moment.”

The Australian coach has come under fire at times this season as the side have managed just two wins in their last 11 games in all competitions.
