UFC’s Darren Until beats up Marvin Vettori in an Instagram submit for expressing skepticism about accidents

UFC middleweight Darren Till signed Marvin Vettori in a social media post on Wednesday, shortly after Vettori publicly questioned the validity of an injury Till revealed last week.

Till (18-3-1) was scheduled to face Vettori (16-3-1) in the main UFC Fight Night event in Las Vegas on Saturday, but retired from the fight last week due to a broken collarbone. UFC middleweight Kevin Holland replaced Till at short notice and faces Vettori in a five-round match.

During a media appearance on Wednesday, Vettori expressed his skepticism about Till’s injury.

“To be honest, I’m getting more and more suspicious of this thing every day,” Vettori said. “I was expecting him to erase the X-ray of his collarbone and so on. I don’t know. I’m getting a little suspicious.”

In a scathing response to Vettori on social media, Till vehemently denied any evidence that he exaggerated an injury to get out of the fight.

“What’s the matter with you, mate? Are you missing a few cells or something?” Till wrote on Instagram. “If only you knew what I went through this camp to fight you. In and out of the gym! Let’s get it right buddy, you’d be my easiest fight, you’re a walking punching bag that ain’t tough.” more and no less So keep your bitter mouth shut.

“What should I do? I broke my collarbone, you total idiot.”

Till went on to advise Vettori to be happy for his colleagues, accusing him of exaggerating his Italian roots because he now lives in California, and promising to post a picture of his broken collarbone.

The 28-year-old has not given a time frame for his return. The former welterweight title challenger has been 1-1 since moving up to the 185-pound middleweight division in 2019.

For what it’s worth, Holland (21-6) also said Vettori should “shut up, leave this situation alone, let the man heal and if he still wants to fight him, fight him”.
