Baltimore Ravens versus Giants. The Ravens bounced back from the Browns’ allowed 42 points by keeping Gardner Minshew and the Jaguars at 13 points while posting five sacks and a turnover. The Giants averaged the second lowest points (17.4) and yards (299.2) per game this year, so the Ravens should close them whether Daniel Jones (ankle) or Colt McCoy are on top. |
| 2 |
Miami Dolphins @ Raiders. The Dolphins have the longest active takeaway in the NFL. You have enforced at least one sales in 20 consecutive games and have made 26 NFL-leading sales this year. The Raiders have scored 27 points in two back-to-back games, but Marcus Mariota, slated to replace Derek Carr (groin) this week, nearly threw two interceptions last week against a Chargers defense ranked this round 10 is year. Imagine the dolphins’ success, especially after bottling the similarly mobile Cam Newton against the Patriots last week. |
| 3 |
Chicago Bears @ Jaguars. In the last five games, the Jaguars have used three different quarterbacks and scored 14 points or less three times. During that time, they flipped the ball ten times and suffered nine sacks. The bear defense has been wrestling a little lately, racking up two or less fantasy points in three of the last four games, but they have 12 sacks, four turnovers and a security in that span and racked up 18 fantasy points against the Texans. They might be positioned to come up with good numbers against one of the weaker crimes they’ve faced since their bye week. |
| 4th |
Buffalo Bills @ Patriots. The Patriots have only scored over 20 points since their week 11 loss to the Texans. That came in their 45-0 blowout of the chargers. As impressive as this game was, two of their big TDs came on defense / special teams, so their average scoring has increased a bit. The Bills defense is now rounding off in form, as it takes fourth place in the league when it comes to take away (22) and has allowed less than 20 points in three of its last four games. Buffalo is a good fit with the Patriots and could stand a chance with double-digit Fantasy Points in their third game in a row, especially as the Patriots can rest some of their troubled starters after being knocked out of the playoffs. |
| 5 |
Pittsburgh Steelers versus Colts. Despite their recent losing streak, the Steelers lead the league in terms of sacks and goal defense and are runner-up overall ahead of their week 15 game against the Bengals. The Colts have played well on offense but Philip Rivers is not very mobile so he could fight if the Steelers can put pressure on him. The Steelers have only allowed more than 24 points twice this season, so they have been remarkably consistent in correcting offenses. |
| 6 |
Cleveland Browns @ Jets. The Browns limited the Giants to less than 300 yards attack and six points on Sunday Night Football. Now they can take on a Jets team that ranks low for the year in terms of scores (14.1 points per game) and total length (271.1 yards per game). The Jets only stunned the Rams, but the Browns won’t take them lightly with the playoff positioning on the line. Expect Myles Garrett and Co. to put a lot of pressure on Sam Darnold and force the young QB into bad throws. |
| 7th |
Carolina Panthers @ Washington. In the last two games, the Washington Football team has only scored 24 attack points. Your defense did a great job generating points, but the offensive unit itself was sputtering. That’s why they have the third smallest offensive yards per game this season (317.3). The Panthers are fresh from a game where they constrained the Packers to under 300 yards and recorded five sacks in four games for the second time. If they can pressurize the Washington QB, be it Alex Smith or Dwayne Haskins, they’ll collect more sacks and possibly create an interception that they haven’t had since week 8. |
| 8th |
Los Angeles Chargers versus Broncos. The Broncos have flipped the ball in every game they have played this season. They also lead the NFL with 30 freebies. The Chargers haven’t been a particularly strong defense this year, but this matchup is good for them and they should want to avenge the 14-point lead they blew out in the fourth quarter against the Broncos in their last game. Feel free to use them as one of the best streamers of the week. |
| 9 |
Arizona Cardinals versus 49ers. Speaking of teams that lead the league in sales, the 49ers have posted 29 in the season and are just one behind the Broncos for the league’s high water mark. The Cardinals have been up the pressure in the past few weeks and a whopping 13 sacks in the last two games. If they can keep getting to CJ Beathard, who is likely to start in place of Nick Mullens (Elbow) if Jimmy Garoppolo can’t return, the Cardinals should be a top 10 game and have a very high bottom regardless of the mileage they give on. |
| 10 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Lions. That matchup looked better for the Bucs when there was some uncertainty about Matthew Stafford’s status, but even if he was there they should still have a chance to slow the offensive in Detroit. The Bucs defense ranks fifth in the NFL with 21 takeaways, allows the sixth smallest yards per game (333.1) and offers the best run defense in the league (77.8 rushing yards per game). If they can stop D’Andre Swift and tee off at Stafford, they should be able to force some turnovers and toss some sacks at the ailing passerby. |
| 11 |
Washington Football Team versus Panthers. In the past seven games, Washington has counted four or more sacks four times. You also have an interception in five consecutive games. They are the definition of an opportunistic entity because if they cannot put up sacks their floor is often low. That said, the Panthers and their battered offensive line, which has dumped seven sacks in the past two weeks, are a great addition to Washington’s defense, so they can be trusted as a boom-or-bust streamer against a solid offense. |
| 12th |
New Orleans Saints versus Vikings. The Saints have lost two consecutive weeks and only accumulated nine Fantasy Points in the last three weeks, so they see some drop in this ranking. However, they still have 21 takeaways a year and are a top 10 defense by every metric in the league. The Vikings offensive has been a hit or miss this season and they have made 23 sales a year, good for the fourth most in the league. The Saints should be able to take advantage of this and put pressure on Kirk Cousins as they have 40 sacks a year so far. |
| 13 |
Kansas City Chiefs versus Falcons. The hawks were almost able to stun the buccaneers, despite having no Julio Jones (thigh), but the chiefs go well with them. Kansas City made life difficult for Drew Brees and Co. last week, forcing a sack and a turnover during the game. You should be able to warmly warm Matt Ryan, who has been laid off 3.4 times on average and has made 1.6 sales per game in his last five games. The hawks still have enough offensive weapons to score some points, which limits the chieftain’s cap, but there are great games against the hawks. |
| 14th |
Philadelphia Eagles @ Cowboys. In the past few weeks the cowboys offense has come a little bit to life. The Eagles could make their way into streamer territory, however, considering that the Cowboys have given up the fourth most fantasy points to D / ST units this year. The Eagles have 44 sacks in the season, which is the second most common in the NFL. So if they can pressurize Andy Dalton, he can flip the ball and at least their bottom is good. |
| 15th |
Houston Texans versus Bengals. The Bengals have been completely cratered since the loss of Joe Burrow. They allow the second most popular fantasy points to defend themselves based on their recent fights and the pressure allowed, giving the Texans a chance to put up some good numbers against them. If Houston is ready to play and can cap the Bengals offensive that hasn’t scored more than 17 points since beating the Titans in Week 8, they’re a good streamer. Of course, the Texans have approved the second highest shipyards in the NFL, so trusting them can be a risk some owners may not want to take. |
| 16 |
Los Angeles Rams @ Seahawks. The Rams were utterly stunned by the Jets so it’s hard to trust them against a Seahawks offense that has scored the fourth highest points per game this season (29.5). |
| 17th |
Indianapolis Colts @ Steelers |
| 18th |
Seattle Seahawks versus Rams. As tough as the Rams were on the Jets (three sacks allowed, one turnover), they should be ready to bounce back and do their best offensive against their rival in the division. |
| 19th |
Jacksonville Jaguars versus Bears |
| 20th |
Dallas Cowboys versus Eagles. With Jalen Hurts starting for the Eagles and playing well, starting a bad defense against the Eagles and hoping for sacks / intercepts is no longer an option. |
| 21st |
San Francisco 49ers @ Cardinals |
| 22nd |
New York Giants @ Ravens |
| 23 |
New England Patriots versus Bills. The Patriots are out of the playoff race, Stephon Gilmore is injured, and the Bills has one of the league’s best offenses. There is no reason to trust them in this case. The risk is too high. |
