Why Bonnie Chapman finds Christmas 'bittersweet' after dropping mom Beth

And she has fond memories of decorating the halls with her “extremely generous” mother.

Their Christmas “was no joke,” Bonnie shared. “It always made me and my siblings feel loved because she remembered everything we had wanted over the years. She just thought so much about us children. And I wish I could have told her how much I loved it.”

Instead, Bonnie has been looking for new ways to communicate with the Denver native.

“I catch little glimpses of them here and there, like certain smells and certain things people do, say or wear,” Bonnie said. For example, when she spots a Michael Kors handbag in the wild, “I thought, 'Oh, my mom would love that,'” she shared. Or when she smells a scent of gardenias: “I think, 'Oh, that's Mom.'” There are also so many things in nature, when I see a butterfly, sometimes I wonder, “Oh, hello, Mom, How are you doing?”
