Just a week after Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul fought, another boxing spectacle is among us.

Austin McBroom vs. Bryce Hall makes headlines over an event dubbed the “Battle of the Platforms”. As the title suggests, the two platforms fighting each other will be YouTube and TikTok. Stars of every social media platform will box each other to see which platform has the better fighters.

LiveXLive, which is hosting this fight, says there are over 1 billion social media followers from each fighter combined. It will surely be an interesting event, especially to follow in the footsteps of what the Paul Brothers started.

These fights are amateur fights in which the fighters box with 16 ounce gloves and headgear. And the fights get fast-paced with five rounds of two minutes.

What a wild way to get this event going. The referee ended the bout in the fifth round when Ryan Johnston started really attacking Cale Saurage, giving Johnston a knockout win. The end-of-the-fight statistics showed that Johnston threw a total of 45 punches compared to Saurage’s 15, and 34 of those were considered power punches. Youtube takes the early victory over TikTok.

7:33 pm: Both fighters just came out WINGING in the fourth round. Ryan Johnston’s nose is bleeding profusely, but he was the better fighter. So far it seems like Cale Saurage won the first two rounds and Johnston won rounds 3 and 4. The fifth round will be the deciding factor.
